Wow. Radio Chaffinch going full blast (or was it my laptop?) this morning; EJ on nest looking about.
The rain has started again. also the stills camera seems to have frozen at 2.41pm
The rain has stopped once again. EJ seems to be having a conversation with somebody else. Does the voiume sound lower? Maybe the wind is carrying her voice away but the buzz is definitely louder again.
Oh! That buzz has been making me switch off today... Here is EJ just now, hunching down to get out of the wind....
-- although, as you can clearly see her shadow, the sun must be out a little.
Ah, I see the stills camera is working again. It has been frozen, even though I kept refreshing but as I type the sound seems to have gone off.
EJ went for a brief flyaround and returned ... followed by Odin. EJ flew off again leaving Odin in charge.

It's a shame about the hum, but better the sound with a hum and no hum at all! EJ has been chirruping and cheeping on and off, the rain has now stopped and she stood up for a bit of wing flapping. She has now had an exercise flight, leaving the eggs unattended. And it looks as though the sun has come out again. Back she comes, chirrupping, quickly followed by Odin with a clump of moss. A lot of chatting going on. Oh dear, someone has just flown off and now I cannot tell who it left. Settling down with its back to me!! Drat.
Edit: Thank you DjoanS for the clarification!

I took this when EJ took off as she saw Odin fly past but OH had to ask me a question as I saved it
Lindy, Joan and Brenda some cracking captures this afternoon. Despite the sun appearing to be out I am still occasionally hearing plip plop. Odin is worrying about the large stick he brought in earlier this afternoon. It is not yet in the right place. They are building the side up really nicely now.
Nice action pic of EJ Brenda! Here is the latest: Is it Odin now?
Odin's on intruder alert at the moment, cheeping in that lovely way he does, and looking above him.
