Snowbird: So sorry I didn't see your blog until too late to verify, but I shall be glued to video at first light.
No one on the nest.
The weather and the nest look cold and grey
By now both EJ and Odin should have reached warmer weather.
I hope we get a GE update this weekend on Mallachie

Hey Barbara Jean: Diane and Wattle are on the blog page.
There was a rumor that there was a bird on the nest around 9:30 last night after almost 12 hours of nothing (visible to us). Let's see what happens today. I imagine (hope?) we'll hear something soon if Mallachie isn't around today. But that could all change in the next minute!
MALLACHIE AY 7:50 this morning!!!!!
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
I've been watching too, for just over an hour. I am enjoying the link to the seal beach in Estonia, the video quality is very good and the sound of the waves very soothing! As people have said Mallachie's whereabouts will be revealed soon, she probably had about 6 to 8 hours of flying time yesterday. She may have roosted, in the Solway Firth or the Lake District, close to the Scottish/English border, if she did not go too far. Garten on the other hand could be almost anywhere, let's hope they are both safe.

Yup she is on the nest !! Maybe she took a practice run yesterday and decided to come back.
OK who is going to knit a hat and a scarf for Mallachie?. And who will be in charge of the hot water bottle and Tesco deliveries? Do you think she would like a little tent to keep her out of the snow? We better get this organize. LOL
I just took an interesting snip of the site where Rothes is 'resting'. Note the temperatures all around her. No wonder she is staying there for a while.
Use whatever talent you possess: the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sing the best.- Henry Van ***
