4:43 UK time.  Thinking good thoughts for Mallachie as I type....

  • Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.

  • I don't know how to put this, but we shouldn't get stewed up about Mallachie.

She is doing fine and will leave when she is good and ready.

Let's not spiral down into dispair.

  • Couldn't agree more Gary. After my initial 'Oh no !' gasp and etc. What you say is exactly so.  I would like though  someone who sees more than we do to confirm she has eaten something today 'cos this will have been the second day without a meal.

  • Annette, I've posted this just in case you might like it. I'm keeping it ! sentimental ole me LoL

  • I can't wait for the page to refresh, it's taking too long. So just in case nobody has, I'll say it.

Mallachie has chosen to leave LG and be on her way to her winter quarters. It seems she left late am today and MMG found this out by knowing someone who was at LG today.

God speed my most precious Mallachie - my heat goes with you.

Girls - God speed you all -  precious Trio. May fortune attend you all your long, healthy, fish filled lives - you, your mates, your offspring.

  • So if our last little one has finally gone, then please let her be safe, my first year but these birds have captured my heart, and given me so much entertainment these past months, just doing what comes naturally, and having no idea just how much everybody loves them.

Stay safe our precious little family, and hopefully we will see you very soon.

The more you rush, the longer it takes

  • 9.30.-- there is without doubt an osprey eating on web cam. NOW>

  • Hi Cirrus,  hope you realise you have the infamous "ghost birdie" in your photo! - [sitting on branch on the right hand side] Looks like the real ones are all gone now, it's very sad, but hope they all get to their destinations safely.

I haven't been online for a couple of days due to health problems [I have MS]. I feel wretched that I have missed them leaving, but I gather from photos my cousin sent that Mallachie was pretty upset either through being hungry or because of the intruder.

Anyway, well done for getting the best photo of the one GB that is staying!
