Starting new thread.
EJ sitting pretty, nothing much to report.

Finally off to bed, leaving the night shift to Annette et al. !
Hi everyone. Thanks for starting the thread Robert the Bruce.
EJ awake at the moment, looking like she's deep in thought in this pic.

Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Thanks Robert the Bruce for starting us off. I'm useles tonight - wedding anniversary (only the 9th) today and OH took me off to nice little French-ified restaurant for dinner. Don't know why two glasses of wine have put me over the edge (maybe coz didn't each lunch? residual ear infection?) but hiccuping nonstop so off grab some water and topple into bed. Oh yes, before I forget, daylight at LG, still night cam; EJ on nest - awake and probably waiting for Odin to bring croissants and coffee!
Take care all.
Daylight cam must came on; looks cloudy there today. Sorry aboutg the video control thingies - they're from the carnyx site.... Where is Odin with those croissants!!?
Morning all,
EJ getting up briefly to reveal the eggs:
EJ gets up for a stretch and a flap
leaving the eggs uncovered
for no more than a minute before Odin takes over
Just as an aside:
Male and female ospreys are more or less the same size, but other birds of prey exhibit some striking differences. I'm now watching the New Forest Goshawk too, and here is the female on the nest this morning:
followed by the male, just after changeover
It is obvious how much bigger she is when she returns to (unsuccessfully) try to relieve him:
Apparently males don't normally hang around very long when feeding the female.....
Sorry, for anyone wanting to view the Goshawks, here's the link to the page on the New Forest Gateway site:
http://www.newforestgateway.org/Wildcam/LiveCameras/tabid/117/Default.aspx
and click on Media player or Silverlight link. I'm not too impressed with the embedded players, but you can view the stream by pointing your media player of choice here:
mms://wms.carnyxlive.co.uk/newforest
(I won't link this because it will fail to open in a web browser - just cut and paste).
Oh and be warned, she's a noisy bird ;-)
Similarly here's the direct link to the Loch Garten cam:

Here is the link to the main Carnyx Live webcam page:
http://www.carnyx.tv/CarnyxWild/WildlifeCameras.aspx
You seem to need Silverlight to access these, but there are quite a few.
Sunlight streaming down on Odin and the nest now:
Looks like a great day at Loch Garten too :-)
I was just looking at Odin and thinking that he looks as if he was out partying last night. Not that he would do a thing like that.
