EJ looking nice and comfortable on the eggs just now. Looks like she's using a clump of grass for a pillow. Fantastic innovation! :-)

Just saw Red Squirell shoot across right side of nest at LOTL. Lady may be trying to lay.

anyone else lost sound?
No sound for me, Cirrus (Hello!). Looks good on the nest again today.
No sound for me either .... thought it was just me ... but obviously not!

Cirrus: My sound is working, mainly backgroud noise, hum and the faint beating with a few crackles. EJ is quiet as are any other birds nearby. Birdsong almost zero.
EDIT: I think the nest mike is dead....there is no noise in the foreground......it was raining ,maybe still is a little.....mike could be wet.

I really don't think so JSB - this happened before much earlier in the season and I thought as you did until Chloe corrected me. Subsequently, the RSPB fixed it :(
Odin is trying not to doze off "on duty!" - and how colourful the nest looks!
This from main Blog (I posted briefly .... anyone else lost sound from the vid cam? )
Thanks Cirrus. Yes, we might have lost the sound - rodent-chewed cable, we think. Will sort, both if and when we can. Cirrus your the first, and thank you, but I would ask please that we do not now get a shed-load of comments telling us that the sound is down and asking when we will fix it. Thank you. Richard
I've come back from chores to find that Odin has been replaced by EJ, looking comfortable in the sunshine.
Thanks for reporting it Cirrus!
Wrong thread I know ... but osprey-related ... I've just been watching osprey fishing on a webcam in Finland ... brilliant! http://www.saaksisaatio.fi/en/ospreycenter/saaksenseuranta/webcam.htm
