Hi folks,
Another day gone by with Odin delivering fish and EJ going off to eat while her man does his duty.
Now sitting contented on the nest.

As far as I know Alicat the egg is fine. Odin took over the guardianship 5-10 minutes ago, and is there keeping an alert look out.

Odin suddenly stands up and gives three or four loud cheeps and flies off, leaving the egg unattended....
At last, EJ returns, and settles after moving bits and bobs around.
Good morning all and many thanks to all for the observations yesterday and this morning. Could this be the day there is a second egg. I will probably miss it as don't get such a lot of time to watch at weekends when oH is home. Saw a changeover earlier and Odin just can't wait to take over, he really has found his mission in life. Thanks also to Sancy, Sheila FE, Lynette, DjoanS and Kelly (well done doing it I am still fumbling around tryng to work it out) for all the captures. Must say I lke the night time captures, they seem mystical in black and white.

thanks Shelia just seen it must have been hidden
Our man returns with a bit of nesting material, a chirrup, and stands on 'our' side of the nest. EJ is not moving at the moment. Off he goes. Is he going to do a fly around and return for a quickie? It appears not. EJ checks her egg and settles once more.
EJ has just chirruped. Odin flew in, landing on her back, a quick mate and off he goes. I don't think that was what she wanted. Once Odin had gone she stood up. She flew off and Odin flew back to take over incubation! It's all go this morning.
Odin - happy looking after the egg
