Evening all: Been out most of the day; just sat down - phew. Off to check other threads; back in a bit!
Good morning dibnlib and I agree I don't like finding bones in my fish, it puts me right off but lucky Dillon had a good supper.
Never had Tedrol as a chlild but my Mum would force Famel Syrup down us which was foul. I wouldn't take it unless I could have a sweet afterwards.

Good morning original goldfinch although you may have left now so hope you have a good rrip away. My Oh always asks what on earth I am taking away with me, my case is always heavier than his.
I totally agree about retirement, I often wonder how I had time to go to work. One thing for sure I would not spend so much time on the PC as I do now.
Good morning Lindybird and I was horrified to read why your OH' s eye was causing so much trouble. It is a wonder that this did not manifest itself a long time ago. Someone was not doing their job properly. I should think your OH is much relieved to rid ot the stitch.
Sorry to read about Buzz and I hope it is nothing too serious and he will improve after his medication. Not a good idea to get OH and Buzz medication muddles up. It must be a worry for your OH and you of course. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Good morning to all not mentioned hope you are having a good day. I opened by conservatory door this morning and Billy came in like a rocket. Quick turn around my front room and then out again. So far this is furthest he has ventured indoors. Both of us usually have to get up in the night and of course we have to look out of the kitchen window to see if Billy is in his "roosting" place on the garden table and invariably he is. He is not around at the moment but is obviously having a wander round somewhere. He is still insisting on drinking from the bird bath and OH had me going out in the garden before 7.00 to fill it up because it was nearly empty. I think it is true to say that Billy has us just where he wants us. No complaits from me though as he has really found his way into my and OH's heart with his sweet nature.
Some incredibly lovely pictures on the bear updates. Also on Facebook.

MARGOBIRD Billy actually in your house albeit only for a second. Hopefully his next visit will last a little longer. Know you are a little worried about the distance you may have to walk when up at LG so hope you noticed on Stephanies blog that she mentioned collecting a volunteer after their night duty.
Afternoon all,
Linda : Sorry to hear about Buzz. Dogs usually bounce back after being sick so hopefully it is nothing serious. OH s eye must have been painful with that stitch left in.
Margo : Glad Billy whizz is coming into the house now. Our next door s cat would also come in given half a chance.
Annette : well done on seeing the 3 whales . Sorry you are still having 'technology' problems.
AQ : Thanks for the further pics from the river trip.
Everyone else thanks for the chat etc.
This morning I decided to go to Rutland Water as the forecast for the rest of the week is a bit iffy. It was nice and sunny when I got there but the wind was strong and the temp down about 10 degrees on last wednesday. Decided to go to the Waderscrape hide this time and watched 5R and Mrs 5R for a couple of hours. Mrs 5R spent all the time I was there on the nest while 5R flew back to the nest from his perch in a dead tree a couple of times and mating ensued. I notice they now have a problem with some black plastic blowing about in the nest which was not there this morning. I will put a few pics on the Rutland thread shortly.
Afternoon dibnlib yes I did see that about Stephanie collecting a volunteer after a shift. I am thinking of ringing them and explaining my concerns about walking although I hope that the thrill of actually being there will spur me on. I am OK if I can walk at my own pace but knowing you have to be on shift at the right time is what is of concern to me. Hopefully I may be on shift with another volunteer who has a car.
dibnlib meant to say I was delighted to see Billy getting ever braver.
Tiger Lily Lily and her family have been a complete joy to watch this season. I note on Facebook that they have closed the den cam now and the reason no update yesterday was they were walking back from doing this.
Lynette hope your OH does not have to wait too long fpr the results of his scan. Waiting for results is difficult when you really want to know what has been causing his pain.
