BRENDA there is one thing worse than wet dog and that is when wet dog has rolled in dead fish. unfortunately we were not close enough to walk home. Think that was the only time that Harvey rolled in anything and he really excelled himself. Do remember he also paddled through liquid manure once and he walked home many paces behind me that day.
LYNETTE hope OHs scan gives good results
Felt so sorry for Rory McIlroy, but heyho that is golf for you.
Annette: This probably will not help, as your problem is complex to describe/solve by blogging. The current issue of PC Pro magazine has a reply to a query about using a print server to make a network printer work, wirelessly.....but they say that first of all, 'Why not get a wireless printer' (instead)....then they discuss ways of getting a printer to work wirelessly by using a router with a print server, or an old PC as a server........but it seems to me that the printer is not really WiFi, it is just not connected to the laptop in use, but it has to be connected to the network using a server of sorts. As I said, probably, not much help.
I have a fancy WiFi Canon MP620, which is no longer the current model, but it does all sorts of things, including the ability to use it anywhere in the house, instead of having to run upstairs and the like. You just pop it down, beside the laptop, if you wish, or if you want to copy records in the loft/attic, no problem, etc.

Oh! How to find an IP address of network printer.
http://www.ehow.com/how_5089066_printer_s-ip-address.html
This only applies to printers that connect using Ethernet. If your printer connects using USB or a parallel cable, these instructions do not apply.
Good Morning ALL. Still sunny and dry here. I find it rather confusing when I can hear the wind and rain coming from LG on the computer and it is dry outside, when I look out of the window.
Poor Japan has had yet another earthquake this morning measuring 7.1 in the same places.
Diane, What a worrying time for you. I hope your plans are successful. Love and hugs flying to you.I love your description of Annette as the 'rose rustler'. Hope your storm wasn't a bad one.
Annette, Sorry you are having such printer problems. We have a wireless printer and it is brilliant, but I can easily say that, as if there are ever any computer/ printer etc. problems, I just shout my OH. Failing that, I am able to ring one of my nephews, who are experts on the subject.
Lynette, Thinking of your OH and yourself this morning.
Alicat, Your garden sounds as if it is becoming a fortress to keep Bobby in, and then out of the pond and the flowerbeds. Your foot injury sounds painful. It must have been your OH's fault.
Dibnlib, Yuk, I can't compete with having a dog in the car, stinking of dead fish. I guess you had all the car windows open. Your story of the liquid manure reminded me that my neighbour told me yesterday that earlier in the week she was driving behind a tractor with a large container full of liquid manure on a trailer, when suddenly her car was sprayed with the manure. She has cleaned the car herself and has since taken it to be cleaned and valeted and says that when she opened the garage yesterday, she could still smell the manure. She doesn't know if the tractor driver knew what happened but he kept driving and by the time she had stopped and cleared her windscreen, she couldn't find him later.
Good morning all can't believe how busy all the threads are have justg had a speed read through all the posts.
original goldfinch some more wonderful photos from you. Pleased to read your son starts his temporary position today, hope all goes well for him.
Alan that has to one of the best pics of Hamish ever. What a lovely dog. Thanks for the pic of Area and Vento chicks.
dibnlib so pleased to see your posts. Sorry about Dillon's arthritis. Hope the medication will help.
Tigerb thanks for the link to very cute bear pics. Just make me want to give them a cuddle.
Lynette hope OH's kidney scan will go OK and that it will show what the problem is so it can treated. Thanks too for your captures.
trish well done to Mia, bet you were pleased. Billy is a mixture but a lot of tortoisehshell in him.
ALICAT pleased that Boobie is enjoying your company as much as you are enjoying hers.
Annette thanks for the "something silly", that gave me a smile.
Diane thanks for your kind thoughts for my sister.
Brenda H nice to see you back. Just shows what rubbish my memory is at the moment. I had completely forgotten about your trip to see family.
AQ thanks for your pics from your break.
I had totally convinced myself that we were going to see Lilia and Darren in Midnight Tango on Saturday. The show title should have given me a clue but it wasn't till we got there I realised that it was Flavia and Vincente. Anyway we really enjoyed it and nobody can do the Argentime Tango like they do. Couldn''t believe how tiny Flavia is as is Vincente but I think that is why they dance so well together because they are of equal height. Authentic music and the set was a bar so really authentic. The dresses were just stunning and all the dancers were very good.
Weather here is quite cloudy and much cooler than of late. We spent the whole day in the garden yesterday and got quite a lot done. Billy was in attendance all day, didn't mind the mower but the strimmer was a step to far so he moved away for a while but as soon as it stopped was back in his usual place now, the garden table. Had the door open all day and he did have a couple of peeks in but at the moment he seems to like sleeping "al fresco". He just luxuriates in the sun and when he gets a bit warm moves under a tree for a while. OH wanted to have lunch out in the garden but I wouldn't let him move Billy off the table as he was fast asleep. Billy rules the roost already bless him. OH is amazed at what a sweet nature he has and is very affectionate, just loves being made a fuss of. At the moment he is asleep on the board that partly covers a corner of the pond. I think we may get some rain soon which we really need as two of our lawns are looking a bit brown already. That might be the time Billy will actually come in and stay in. Billy sleeps on the garden table through the night so really he has everything he could want what with his food and mlk under the table. We are feeling very protective of him now that he has decided we are OK. Still find it hard to believe that in less than a week everything changed and he accepted us.
Haave a good day all and sorry I didn't mention everyone but will be able to look in more until Thursday when I am off to the hairdressers.
Margobird
Margo, I am still trying to catch up with all the news. I was so sorry to read your news of your sister. She sounds such a strong character but that must have been a severe blow for her to hear. Stay strong, miracles do happen.
Brilliant to hear how your relationship with Billy Whizz has now progressed so rapidly. I didn't expect to read that you are now able to stroke him a little. Well done.
Margo I've never come across a tortoiseshell boy cat before......thought they were all girls. Glad he's getting ever more confident.
Trish for a long time we couldn't see whether Billy was a boy or girl. Of course now we are now so close to him OH observed he was a boy. He is a mixture though not a true tortoiseshell.
Thanks Brenda H my other sister and I agreed that when we spoke to her after the latest news that she did seem a bit down but that is not to be wondered at. She has remained very strong throughout but the last bit of news has shaken her a bit. We are staying strong for her and will support her whatever decisions she may take regarding 4 months of chemotherapy which I suspect she will decide to do as option are less now.
Big surprise to me about Billy, still find it hard to believe, it took 6 months but well worth the wait as he is a lovely little cat. The ospreys now have to share my time with him.
