Daily Update (Loch Garten) Saturday April 9, 2011

Nest still empty, I'm very tired and heading to bed. Take care all.

Hope you're fast asleep by now, Annette.   ;-)  Nest is still empty, but in the early morning light, the thing that strikes me is that the colour for this year's soft furnishings is old gold!  Red moss one year, green the next, and now golden yellow!  The nest looks very pretty and inviting, just as a nursery should!

Over last 20 mins nest empty, all quiet except the sound of osprey? wingbeats offcam.

Odin arrived with more yellow moss, scraped the nest cup, looked around and has left.

EJ arrives followed by Odin for immediate mating. He leaves and EJ is now on nest alone.

EJ on far right of nest, softly calling. Beautiful sunny morning on the nest.

Didnt read that before I came on to the webcam, Brenda, and thought there was an empty nest, until I suddenly heard her peeping and saw a touch of tail!

EJ is still softly calling on the right of the nest edge,  but can hardly be seen on the camera picture. Maybe she is hoping Odin has gone fishing.

Thanks to All for posts - and meant to say before, its nice to hear from Wattle again!  The nest does indeed look very inviting, and the sunshine this morning is just beautiful.
