Hi all: very late starting this - was gone most of the day. I saw Odin on the nest - brilliant! Now off to check on Lady and, hopefully, catch up on chat!
Afternoon all,
Cirrus : Wonderful seeing a crane over your house. Best we can do here is a heron.
Diane : Welcome back.
AQ : Thanks for the pics. It gives a real idea of how different Australia is from here.
Paul : Thanks for the Decorah pic, been following the nest. Really good quality cam.
Thanks to everyone else for the chat etc..
This morning was beautiful again so we took another picnic this time to Barnwell CP. Saw a red kite when we got there and numerous swans, ducks, geese, moorhens etc. Found a swans nest but no eggs yet.
Here are a couple of pics from the visit:
Alan Great day for a picnic and thanks for the pics.

Hi everyone.A very pleasent day here, with the birds sining and the sun shining. Fairly certain I heard a Mistle Thrush! :-) Of course it might've been a Starling doing an impression. LOLDiane: Welcome back. I hope the storms don't turn out too bad.Annette: Sorry to hear you were badly affected by pollen.Linda: Good to hear you were able to do Buzz's laundry.OG: Glad to hear the sun's out down your way.ALICAT: Great to hear Bobbie got the all clear with her injections.Cirrus: Absolutely fantastic news about the Crane flying over! :-)Margo: Glad the sun's shining where you are.SheilaFE: Sorry to hear you've got a poor broadband connection. Ours isn't anything to write home about.Trish2: Here's to many more slick fish changeovers at LG :-)Alan: I really enjoy watching the Decorah cam. Brilliant clarity. Thanks for the nice pics. Looks like it was a great day for a picnic.Happy Friday!Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Diane thought I had posted a welcome back but can't see it so sorry if it appears twice. Hope the storms did not turn out to be bad for you. Look foward to hearing your news.
Not going to have much time over the weekend for blogging or viewing as we are out tomorrow going to a show in Southampton (this time by car). We are going to see Darren and Lilia from Stictly Come Dancing in Midnight Tango. We have to leave well before lunch as it starts at 2.00 so will be taking some sandwiches with us and stopping in the New Forest to eat them. Also with this weather traffic will be very heavy so have to make sure we are in plenty of time. Sunday we hope to be in the garden most of the day and I do like to spend time with OH so there will be lots to catch up on when he is back to work on Monday.
Have a good weekend all and may the sun continue to shine on you.
Thanks margo, for your good wishes for the weekend - I'm so jealous that you are going to see some 'Strictly' type Dancing!
Lets hope this nice weather holds for all of us - there is so much that needs doing in the garden etc. Have taken some pics today of our flowers, and the neighbours beautiful magnolia trees.
Lindybird I am very spoiled where shows are concerned although we have cut back a bit, not a cheap hobby at all. Being more selective with shows now but this is the 3rd Strictly type show we are going to and they are hugely enjoyable. I especially like Latin American and the Tango. Look forward to your flower pics.
Have I forgotten something but no posts from Brenda or dibnlip of late. Hope they are OK.
I've been presuming that everyone is so very busy at this time of year, and then of course we are all looking at the Osprey cams!
Must go & do some gardening....
Hello Friends. We returned home from our stay with my sister last night. OH's eye check up wih his consultant went well, so we don' have to see him for another six months. It was lovely to see my sister and family. Our son and his wife surprised us, by driving up to the Wirral, on Thursday for Mother's day weekend and then they drove to Scotland, after an early Sunday lunch, to see her Mother for a few days. They managed to see both mothers in the one day. I see there is a lot for me to catch up with, so will post later. It has been a glorious day here.
