  • Hoping Odin arrives today to cheer her up. Beautiful morning here in Kent.

  • Thanks Paul for the humorous updates and Cirrus too, also for all the captures.

A rather wet and soggy LG at present with the rain coming down but it does'nt seem as windy!

No EJ but an empty nest - not surprising really - hope she's managing to keep dry.

  • Radio Chaffinch is singing away merrily.  Also hear a Great Tit (still to think of a radio station type name for him).  Hope EJ catches a whale of a fish.  She deserves it.

Warning!  This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar.  Approach with extreme edginess.

  • Poor EJ!  Nearly as bad as having all that snow last year. Hard to believe it seems a good idea for an Osprey to come back to Scotland to breed, from all that warmer climate.

Thanks to All for overnight posts and pics.

  • Radio Chaffinch is turned up to full volume.  You can almost hear the strings hitting the frett board ;-)

  • Oh, JSB - I hadn't realised. Thanks for pointing that out.

Cirrus: You have got the leg ring clear for all to see. As you know, in the sunlight it is nigh on impossible.

  • Good morning all and thanks to Heron 77 and Cirrus for the captures.  Poor EJ what weather she has had,. as I type can hear the plink plonk of rain but at least that wind has dropped.  Heron love the hurmour once again.  Radio Chaffinch was in fine form but seems to have stopped for now.  Off to catch with yesterday now but Odin may turn up today with a bit of luck.

  • I hear an occaisional gently calling from EJ somewhere  ''off''

  • I've put a new thread on the Techical Forum about the hum and thump on the LG video camera. It's like being transported back to before 2010 to the days of the generator.  I really DO hope the noises don't mask the calls of the chicks whilst they are still in the egg. It was so wonderful last year to be able to hear them ''talk''. No wonder Odin didn't want to stop incubating the eggs when EJ returned from scoffing the fish Odin had brought her.

  • Thanks to all for the captures of EH struggling with that awful weather and she looked mighty wet at times, poor girl.
