Hi everyone.A happy new month to all. I wonder what the first day in April will bring for the LG Ospreys. Perhaps Odin. :-)

EJ's just turned up to do some nestoration.
The wind has started to play a bit of havoc with the camera. EJ has decided to vacate the nest.
Very many thanks Heron ......... however, I really don't believe those wind speeds !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how can they possibly be true - it's severe gale force winds blowing !! I really do hope it means that they really are going to calm down tomorrow.
Cirrus: I really do hope the wind speeds calm down. I get the feeling the forcasters give wind speeds at ground level. I'm not sure if there's and simple calculation that could transfer wind measurment at ground level to wind speed at the elevation of the LG nest. It would be interesting to now what the wind speed is at that hight.

It can take 3-4 weeks for a pair to build a new nest, which is why ospreys often return to the same nest year on year. It is much easier to do a few repairs at the start of the season, than have to build a new nest from scratch every time!" However today, EJ says....... In times of high winds, it necessary sometimes to fell small trees to add strength to the structure. Taking care not to injure oneself in the process.

LOL LOL It does make you wonder.
Just looked in at the nest and it is still blowing a gale.
Thanks for all the pics and updates since early afternoon. Lets hope tomorrow is a little better and that Odin makes an appearance.
