Just half awake, I noticed the lack of DU blog. I hope this is another good day on the nest. Here it is raining.

Concerns raised about the wind speed. Do not try this at home....I mean listen to nestcam with earphones, it is just white noise....would damage your ears! Also the mike may be exaggerating the sound a bit, because according to the met office it is only gusting at 23mph, which if true is both good and bad news, because, if you look at the wind forecast for aviemore, it is showing gusts with twice as much wind tomorrow and no let up over the next few days! Right through to Monday. Also the direction SW to SSW could blow Odin north, but also to the east at the same time. Maybe any sailors out there could expand on the latter point.
EJ has decided enough is enough and has flown the coup!

Meanwhile Lady is scoffing her fish that she brought in.
Lady is still chomping away at her fish. The wind is still blowing, but the evening sun is shining.

Now gusting at 26mph.
The humming can be turned down by right click on the nest and you will see volume control. Also you can select full screen or exit full screen. Hope this helps somebody. Don't need to alter your PC's volume control.

watcher2: The relevance of the above warning, is that a couple of days ago I was advocating the use of earphones to hear the surrounding birdsong at LG. Also the humming is due to 'ground loop', the same as at LotL, a difficult to rectify circuitry fault, as you may be aware.
Here is what I said on the 26th.
"Is the buzzing noise due to ground loop - reading this it sounds (no pun intended) plausible. Any budding electronic engineers out there?
Ground means earth, in UK parlance."
