Just half awake, I noticed the lack of DU blog. I hope this is another good day on the nest. Here it is raining.

Very sorry to hear your sad news bocelli. I take it your goldie is your avatar. She was a lovely looking dog and as a best pal for 13 years she will leave a huge gap. Will be thinking of you.
Edit: empty nest and a very low, loud aircraft has just passed overhead.

I have to go out now - happy Osprey watching.
Just logged on after friend left and a quick shopping trip ... to see .... an empty nest!! Seems to be the usual thing in the middle of the day just now. EDIT - just as I posted she flew in with a fish tail, had a mouthful ... and flew off again ... typical!!!
bocelli - so sorry to hear about your dog .... not an easy time for you .... HUGS from me too.

thank you all for hugs !
Just looking in and from earlier, the rain seems to have stopped , no drops on the lense, and EJ is having a tidy round.

bocelli so sorry to read about your Golden Retriever, just heartbreaking for you. Lots of hugs from me too.
EJ on the nest now and I hope she the sight of her will help.

bocelli - sorry to hear about your GR, thirteen years is a long time. Hugs from me.
I know exactly how you feel. I had to have Herbie my golden lab x retriever put to sleep just before Christmas at the age of 13 and a half. Leaves a huge gap in your life. I can't bear to think of getting another dog yet but enjoy 'borrowing' friends' dogs for walks. The avatar is Herb at the age of 13.

oh bocelli, so sorry to hear that
I hope it's allowed to post links on the forum , so I can leave this story here for bocelli:

Cats and women will do as they please. Dogs and men should relax and get used to it.
EJ still on the nest, looking dry, if a bit windswept.
Edit: and as I pressed the send button, I think the sun came out, at least enough coming thru the cloud to form a shadow.
