Just half awake, I noticed the lack of DU blog. I hope this is another good day on the nest. Here it is raining.

Usual plink plonk of rain as I came on a while ago... Wonder if any males will turn up yet? Its nice to be romantic and think of Odin, but actually I think she might accept any male who looks a likely candidate Get a move on Odin!
good Morning all,
this morning I have a steady and tedious sound when watching the LG cam. Anyone else with the same problem? (no, it's not the rain, it is a kind of permanent humming: hummhummhummhummhumm)

Cats and women will do as they please. Dogs and men should relax and get used to it.
Good morning All and poor EJ must have had a very wet and windy night. Nest empty at the moment but can't hear any rain at the moment. Sheila FE laughed about your comment on Odin and the furniture which never fits.
Lindybird I hope she does wait for Odin as I really want to see him when I volunteer but as you say someone else might just take her fancy if doesn't arrive soon. I have everything crossed for him though.

Alex - just noticed your query - I'm afraid that sometimes the webcam does this, its very annoying and some folks even turn the sound off to get away from it! hmmmmmm ! It may stop later.
thanks Lindybird, so I'll try to be patient and hope that it stops sooner or (hopefully not) later.
and another newbie-question: what do I have to do to get the names (e.g. Lindybird in the sentence above) written in bold?
Alex: Just highlight the word you want with your mouse (left - click) , then press 'Ctrl' and the letter 'B' at the same time - then press left click again. - then do the same to undo it when you need to.
You can also get italics by using the same method with the 'i' key.
thanks Lindybird
yippieh I managed it :-)
Well done! - but don't ask me anything more techie, as I am a self taught PC 'expert' and can't do anything else for a party trick! ; - ) Hope you enjoy watching the nest this season. Its great fun. I see that you didnt see the eggs last year but can promise that the egg laying and hatching is just as addictive to watch as the antics of the parent birds, and of course the wonderful ugly babies. (oops, might get shot for that remark by some on here who love the cuties)
Hi all
I'm not quite back in the land of the living I had to get back to work today and haven't logged on since last week. I've been catching up on some of the chat but as yet haven't seen EJ today on the nest. If you remember I had a very sick Golden Retriever last week and I'm in bits as I had to have her put to sleep on Sunday but I thought I would try and get back to work today and see if I can get through a day without breaking down!!!! She had been my best pal for 13 years.
Seeing EJ will lighten my heart today.
Maria
bocelli - So very sorry to hear your news. It is such a hard time for a dog lover. Hopefully EJ will put in an appearance soon. Watching these wonderful birds has helped me through several difficult times in my life. (can I send a <HUG> even tho I don't know you well?)
