Weekly Chat, Sunday March 27, 2011

Morning all; dinner time here - well getting close - off to check the options; back to catch up later.

  • Morning all. Yesterday when coming home from work at 10pm I heard a whoop from above - and saw three whooper swans flying south. They were absolutely breathtakingly beautiful sight against dark blue starlit sky. They probably found their home lake still covered with ice and had to return a bit. Hope they didn’t have to fly too far to find ice free lake/sea

    Have a nice Friday all!

Good Morning,  another grey & cloudy day here.

I had a quick peep at LG & LoTL nests - one empty, one occupied.

I've heard of the fish treatment - & I know a couple of people who have tried it.  I don't think I fancy it at all myself though.

My spelling was terrible this morning - although this post did look pretty with all the little red squiggly lines all over.

    Nearly weekend!!

  • Weather not good up here on Speyside this morning really really windy so don't hold your breath for Odin's return on such a blustery day.

Hoping for another walk aroung Loch Morlich if the rain holds off. Youngest and OH like the walk as they get a coffee half way round. Probably won't visit LG this time but she is up again in June and also end of August.

I am convinced my feet are smoother and we are thinking of another trip to the "fish" next week. It was fun doing it with youngest as you could giggle at the tickles together so we will fit it in before she returns to Dorset on Thursday.

Sorry not replying to you all but I can assure you I am have a good read and enjoying all your piccies but it is so nice have quality time with youngest.

So evertyone have a good day whatever you are up to.

  • Morning, All:   A bit grey here but fairly pleasant, and I can see sooo many blossoms from my windows I feel quite cheerful about Spring!

Thanks to AQ for droll verses about 'Rememberers' - all of us of a certain age should have that one up on the wall!  Hope you enjoy your weekend trip, and we look forward to the photos later, AQ.

OG:  I forgot to say last night that yes, it was a Nerine in the pic - in my garden last year.

Nearly the weekend Jay-Me!   Where does the time go.....  Off to donate blood this afternoon, then on to get my hair cut before I fall over it, its so long now.  Must hoover round all the house too, as its all doggy - someone always calls in when I don't do it!

EDIT:     HI WENDY   Lovely for you to spend fun time with your Youngest.  Hope the weather is good for your walk.

  • auntie:  thanks for the lovely description of your encounter with the Swans in flight - gorgeous!

  • Annette: hello and thank you for those kind words

Paul: thanks , i suspected that it was to do with windows 7. i will just have to rely on fellow bloggers for clips of the bits i miss when out at work

both Ej and Lady on their nests this morning waiting for their men to turn up!

  • Good morning WendyB hope you don't get blown away on your walk.  Although still very windy at LG don't think it is quite as bad as it was yesterday afternoon.  Interesting what you say about the fish treatment.  My OH is trying to get me to have a go, now I have read what you say I may well give it a twirl.  Nice for you to be able to spend quality time with your youngest and has she managed to avoid throat infection this time.

  • Hi Annette  relieved to hear you didn't faint while helping helping grandson out.  I do hope the feeding problem will be sorted out sooner rather than later.  Must be distressing for your granddaughter.
