Morning all; dinner time here - well getting close - off to check the options; back to catch up later.
The ospreys are back at Aberfoyle. However it is a real soap opera there.

Just got back from Barnwell CP where it was very windy. Not too many birds about but I did catch this Great Crested Grebe on its nest:

Thanks Tiger.

Love the pic of the Great Crested Grebe Alan glad you got back without being blown away.
Joan Billy would certainly not like the wind. How long are these high winds supposed to last. Missed the weather forecast at lunchtime as I dozed off.
Hi. Just back from visiting OH's Aged Auntie - she was very pleased to see us (Dog and I ) and wanted to hear all about our holiday. I took her a little bunch of grape hyacinths from our garden, as a token of Spring. Of course Buzz took up his usual station in her kitchen, right next to the shelf with the biscuit box! - and of course he got a couple of Rich Tea biccies. On the way back I saw a Bird of Prey over the fields, and nearly drove off the road trying to identify, but my eyesight is not good enough for something so high up.
Alicat: You are right, and of course there will always be a huge place in your heart for your beloved Casper. I do think its a good idea to get another dog later, but you cannot replace an animal - just give another one a good home. I have many happy memories of the many pets we have had, and we still find room in our hearts for another one.
margo - Glad you're feeling better - it takes a long time to get over that sort of illness. (I was still coughing when we went away after having that chesty thing all of February, and only got rid of it just before we came home weeks later). Do hope you enjoy your outings - they all sound great.
Alan - Lovely Grebe pic.
Hope OG is out and about and enjoying her birthday.
margobird - our winds are supposed to last until midnight and then die down ... but then get strong tomorrow again ... we have a severe weather warning until midnight :-((
Joan - avid bird and nature watcher in Northumberland!

SheilaFE we'll certainly be up and singing along. Not sure about bopping! OH will just be completely glued! She is very good this will be the 4th time I've seen Kylie and OH's 5th. He's a true addict.
Joan stay safe and I hope you will not suffer any damage. It is quite windy here but nowhere near the speed of the wind where you are.
Lindybird glad your visit to Aged Aunt well and I can imagine she was pleased to see you and Buzz and hear about your holiday. Buzz obviously knows the form when you go there, waiting for his Rich Tea biscuits. Perhaps it was a buzzard you saw. Seem to be a lot of them about at the moment.
