Morning all; dinner time here - well getting close - off to check the options; back to catch up later.
HERE WE ARE:
============= H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y ORIGINAL GOLDFINCH!! ===========
Morning, Everyone: Dull here, but not raining, and they have promised us a bit of sun later. It is unusually warm for this time of year, so not complaining anyway.
Annette: Hope that Delightful Delilah is doing OK and that they can get to what is the problem. New babes are always a worry to their parents. Nice to hear that you are going to loll in the hammock under a new umbrella! What colour is it?
Alicat: Good that you are trying to eat again. Nearly forgot about the little baby fishies. What a lot!! Wish I could visit you and see them.
Lynette: thanks for the lovely pics from the webcams - those of the Eagles are so moving, as you say, with that great huge beak and being such a tender mother.
AQ: we are all awaiting the next episode of your decorating saga - a lull in progress is allowed, but we want pictures when its done! (not surprised you are aching, I would be too).
Diane: Have a Good Trip! Tell us all about it later!
OG: Enjoy your birthday! Hope there is going to be cake!
I forgot to say, that Buzz is now recovered. We did stop most of his food for a couple of days, then gave him a limited diet for a while, but he is now back on his usual diet and seems to be OK.
Absolutely chucking it down this am so OH has just taken Dillon out in all his waterproofs. My job is to dry dillon on return. What a change from yesterday afternoon when we had a nice walk by River Beauly.
Off to Eden court last eve to see the local operatic society perform "South Pacific" It was their first night and they were very good. In between walk and Eden court I tried to get on site but no luck.
Can confirm that fractured shoulders mend on their own with help of cuff sling and I did get physio.
WENDY popped into Tiso yest (just for a change) and found they have a club night on Tues and for the first time there will be money off sale goods so guess what OH has had put aside. I have also had another North Face gilet put aside for me, this time in a nice bright blue with pinkish red lining.
Off to dentist later this am and out pm so now my priority is to look back to posts I missed yest.
ANNETTE It is a weeping cherry blossom tree. Grandsons wound sounds gruesome, wishing him well
OG Happy Birthday, What plans do you have to celebrate
Both owls cuddling and preening in the nestbox. Yay! But what is that "thing" hanging in there. A cord from the webcam? A rope the owls brought in? Surely it's not a dead snake? Joan? http://www.thewebbroadcastingcorporation.com/barnowlcam_nestcam.html
Diane - I saw that 'thing' hanging in the owls nestbox last night ... don't know what it is ... possibly a cable from the camera? I doubt if they'll be able to do anything now that the owls are 'in residence' :-(
Joan - avid bird and nature watcher in Northumberland!

Golly, is it only me, or is the site hopelessly slow this morning. I keep getting times out.
Very happy birday OG. Are you being treated to anything special? May the sun shine on you. What lovely pictures/cards from Lindybird, DjoanS, and Auntie (our wonderful EJ!).
Trish2 have a super time on Saturday. Will you be bopping in the aisle?
Alan lovely snap of the Decorah eagle. True meaning of the words Eagle Eye! No longer bobbleheads, but looking more like baby chicks.
Tiger and Lynette lovely updates on Lily and Hope and the cubs.
AQ it sounds as tho the decorating is coming on apace now! You are due a break I think.
Diane a watch with a compass, now that sounds a good idea. Many folk in the large event car parks tie helium balloons to the car or flags. I've often thought I'd do that if I was on my own. Fascinating that your wildlife was noisy during the super moon. I remember our total eclipse of the sun many years ago, with the strange daytime light when all the birds suddenly went to roost or just went quiet. Enjoy your rip to Indianapolis - see you next week in time for Odin's return.
Lindybird glad to hear that Buzz has recovered. I don't suppose you will every know what the problem was.
dibnlib I'd love to see Dillon hin his waterproofs! Oh, I see it's your OH in the waterproofs, and you will have to towel a wet Dillon down when they both get home!!
I took voluntary redundancy nearly seven years ago, belong to the retirement association of the company. This afternoon a former colleague and birder, also retired, is giving a talk to we oldies on The birds of Cambridgeshire - past, present, future and ...Marsh Harriers. It should be interesting.
Edit: Oh yes Diane and DjoanS, I see what you mean. A coil or loop, a spring? Given the closeness to the camera I think it must be quiet small?

Morning all,
OG: Happy Birthday to you. I hope that you have a great day.
Linda : I am glad Buzz has recovered. Hamish was sick yesterday and is off his food this morning so will have to keep an eye on him for a couple of days.
Alicat : Glad you have managed to eat something.
Everyone else: Thanks for the chat, pics etc.
We have had some badly needed rain overnight but not too much. Blackbird was having a good feed in the lawn this morning.
I think the Decorah cam will be worth watching over the next couple of days if there is not much action on the osprey front. The first hatch is due on 1st April. They had over 30,000 viewers last night. Quite amazing.
Happy Birthday original goldfinch, I wish you a very happy day and hope you are doing something special.
