OG: Happy BIrthday to you, la la-la-la laaa-la - and many many more! (Thanks for reminding us Auntie.)
AQ: Oh right. I forgot. Well, you have to take a break after masking so you can face the next part of the job. EJ just showed up on the nest.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OG!!! Have a wonderful day!

I am sure I would lose the car in a huge car park! I've been to the Royal Show in the past, and if it were not for OH I am positive I would be walking home! It's the same wandering around towns. I have absolutely no idea where I am! One of these days I will get one of these smart phones with a GPS app. Well, at least I know some words!

Oh, Sheila. I have absolutely no sense of direction or spatial awareness. My family and friends all have funny stories about me being unable to find the car in a parking lot. I can follow a map, but if left without one, I have no idea where north, south, east, and west is and will travel in circles. LOL I actually wear a watch with a compass!!! Seriously. It's one of those adventurer's watches and has a terrific little digital compass. LOLOLOL

LOL! You're very kind, but there's plenty I can't do. Like car repair. If something goes wrong with the car, all I can do is pop the hood and look for the giant ON/OFF switch. LOLOL Actually, the computer help I'm able to offer is 10% technical ability and 90% intuition. Most of the time, it's just a minor issue (such as a setting being changed). I just have to guess what happened so I know what to adjust. If it really is a major technical issue -- especially a hardware problem -- it's out of my league.
I just try to help my Dad's friends because computer repair is very expensive around here -- not much competition in these small towns. I hate to see one of them pay a huge repair fee just to fix some minor problem. Alot of the folks around here are on fixed incomes and computer fees can really hurt their budgets. They really rely on their email because some are fairly isolated.

Annette, can't take credit for remembering LOL It was AQ who reminded me LOL
SheilaFE said: Hi Diane how are you? Any sign of the red tailed hawk? When I was away I read a wonderful book by David Gessner, Return of the Osprey. He decided to take a year out, and moved to the empty family home on Cape Cod and studied a number of osprey nests. I thought of you when he mentioned the coyote he saw. Osprey in this part of the world were almost wiped out by the use of DDT, whereas I believe our osprey were nearly wiped out by gamekeepers and egg collectors. David Gessner mentions a number of folk we have all heard of: George Waterston, Dennis Puleston, Audubon, and Alan Poole. It is really a fascinating read, and given that he teaches 'creative non-fiction' at the Harvard Extension School it is extremely well written.

Sheila: I haven't seen the big red-tailed hawk lately. He may be off making little red-tailed hawks. LOL I've heard of the David Gessner book and have been intending to read it. Thanks very much for reminding me about it. It does sound like a book that I would really enjoy. During the recent super- moon, I heard coyotes yipping and howling on my levee above the creek. All of the wildlife here were exceptionally loud and active during that moon.
Annette: Hope the baby's feeding problem is resolved. Oh, and don't hesitate to call in the home health nurse for your grandson -- if he has insurance to cover it. I say take advantage of all the help you can get.
Auntie: Nice to see you!
Joan: I forgot to thank you for the information on the wild mustard. Fascinating!
OG: Loved the recent photos!
Ok, folks. This will be my last post for a while. I'm headed to Indianapolis to pet-sit for my friend there. She's having some personal problems. I'm leaving tomorrow and will be back by Monday. Everyone have a GREAT weekend.
OG - I hope you have a lovely day .... is carrot cake on the menu for a treat? :-))
