Morning all; dinner time here - well getting close - off to check the options; back to catch up later.
Have stopped rushing around the house to drink a hot chocolate (diet kind).
I see that whilst I was away, you were all very busy - did enjoy reading about Sheila s trip to Switzerland and lovely photos. See that we even had some 'blue' pages on the posts!! Seem to remember that happening once before on here, can't remember when though.
Whilst away, we read no papers and only saw a little of the local TV (all in Spanish). When we heard about the terrible earthquake and tsunami, we borrowed a paper from a friend and were shocked by the scale of it all. Such devastation and human loss.
We were aware of the fact that there was an extra large moon, as someone had told us about it - we saw that it was indeed growing daily, into a vast yellow dinner plate in the sky some nights, really looking as though it were 'sailing' through the misty clouds. At the same time, we had extra high and low tides from the sea, with the depositing of some brown seaweed loosened by the recent storms, draped around each small beach as a decorative necklace along the tideline. We went beach combing for treasures, but sadly only found lots of the ubiquitous blue & white bottle tops which float round in the oceans these days, seemingly forever. Someone we met had lost a gold ring from his finger whilst swimming in the bay, but it was never found so maybe one day someone will be lucky & come across it.
Hi Lindybird I am much better thanks. Yesterday was the first that I really felt well again. Whatever that virus was it really knocked it out of me. Have not felt as poorly as that for a while. Yes you are right you can change the print size on Kindle, OH got if for me as he knows I struggle with books when the print is small. Got a £50 Amazon voucher so will be able to get quite a lot on for that. Would be good if I could get that David Gessner book on. I have no idea how to do all this and OH has been working most weekends but fingers crossed he will be here this weekend and we can at last do somethng with it.
I am so chuffed about Billy bless him, of late we have been able to get much closer to him and he is even loathe to move when OH backs out of the drive whereas at one time he would have run a mile. OH very careful coming in and going out of the drive now.
Margobird
Snap original goldfinch been watching the starlings in my garden doing the same thing. Like spring flowers pic.
Morning all - wet, cold and gloomy here ... oh well, at least I can get on with indoor things today!
margobird - delighted to hear that Billy has taken that first step of looking inside your conservatory! He'll be curled up on a chair before you know it!!
Lynette - I hope the scan for your OH is soon ... at least you will know for definite then.
OG - you and your OH are so organised with your gardening ... sounds wonderful. I sowed my first lettuce seeds yesterday ... that's a start :-)
Annette - grandson's wound sounds awful ... lucky for him he has good carers!!
Diane - I loved you saying about your Dad's old friends and technology ... sounds like my Dad for the last couple of years before he died. He had always been very good with things, but then technology seemed to progress beyond him!!
Linda - glad you and your OH enjoyed his birthday meal!
George - glad you and Diesel are enjoying life together ... he sounds grand company.
Cirrus - hope your hand has healed and that your computer is sorted now!
Alicat - thinking of you ... and hugs!
Thanks to everyone for chat etc. Must make a start on a birthday card for my friend since the weather is bad here!
Take care.
EDIT - lovely photographs OG - you posted them while I was writing!
Joan - avid bird and nature watcher in Northumberland!

Nice spring pics, OG!
Just heard a good remark on the radio - "Life is like a toilet roll, it goes faster the nearer you get to the end...." very profound!
Linda - I like that!! My mum used to say life went faster as she got older ... I believe her now!!
I do not think life goes faster but it appears to go faster as 1 year gets to be an ever decreasing fraction of one's life. Also even a few years before you are born seems ever so far in the past. As you grow older times gone by seem to come toward you where in fact they are going away from you.
Time is strange!
Tiger Signature
Tiger and Lindybird very profound thoughts about the passing of time.
