Morning all; dinner time here - well getting close - off to check the options; back to catch up later.

  • Morning all, bit late signing on.

Thanks for all the news. Not much to tell here.  Done most of my chores and just looking in and at LG before finishing off my kitchen floor.

Lovely day, cloudy and sunny, quite pleasant.

  • hi not coping to well here this morning first time been left since casper left us i work from home booking in OH jobs he is self employed i used to have casper in the office with me and he would come upto me and like my leg or foot so it is very quite in here now and lonely, tigger is finding it hard as well last night she kept wanting to be out then in then back out as if she was looking for him and this morning she doesn't seem like she wants to eat, at moment she is on our bed now that she come back in she went out first thing this morning sat her trying to do the office work with tears streaming down my face

  • Hi Alicat - it must be really hard for you on your own there. Tigger is obviously finding it strange without Casper. It WILL get easier for you, although it doesn't feel that way at the moment. Think of the lovely happy times you had ... I will always remember the pics you posted ... I loved the one in his hoodie! HUGSx

  • Alicat   '' not coping to well here this morning  '' - a big hug from me too.

  • Alicat it sounds as though your Sunday was busy one way or another.  Keeping occupied is the best thing to do, although it is hard.

Lindybird It must be so very difficult for your friend knowing of 'Stella's' increasing frailty.  Trouble with TVs - this switchover business is one way everyone is being forced to spend money - either on a Freeview box or a new smart, thing TV with Freeview incorporated, to keep the economy going!  Lovely to have home grown fruit.  We had a very poor crop of 2tree2 fruit last year.  Usually damson, plum and apple branches are bowing under the weight, but we hardly had any.  Currants, gooseberry, strawberry and raspberry were a completely different thing - loads!  We watched the earthquake programme.  Fascinating stuff.

    Welcome back Wendyb

Gary how it Toffee getting on?

joan and Diane I have finally managed to get the owl cam up - on Google Chrome.  There was a really odd noise going on and it almost looked as though the owl was straining.  However a second appeared and the noisey one seemed to mate the newcomer straight away!!  They are now standing looking each other and I am not now sure which was on top!

AQ I am sure you will be VERY tired after three WEA trips;  they will be quite exhausting!  And so the road hoo-ha continues.

Annette I checked out Lake Los Cameros and it looks a wonderful place to wander.  Really peaceful.  Ha ha suggesting Alan sends in IR on a special mission to same the goose egg!  It certainly will be intereting to see how this unfolds.

Cirrus what sad news of QW's maily.  How tragic and doubly so for her daughter.  I see that Brenda H asked whether it was you who met her last year.  I seem to recall a meeting with a blogger, possibly at Slimbridge.

OH is currently cutting back hard our eucalyptus.  The lower branches and leaves are still very brown, so a hard cut is a case of kill of cure, and I've been asked to go out and remove and tidy up.  All quiet on the EJ front.

  • Dear ALICAT one of those times when I wish I could give you a big hug in person.  Tigger knows something is different, amazing how animals sense sadness.  Casper is in a better place looking down on you, and he will always be there in spirit for you.  It will take you time but we are all here for you.

  • Good afternoon BrendaH sorry your husband has suffered from Glaucoma but can quite understand why he wants to stay with the consultant who has cared for him over the years.  Have a safe journey tomorow and it is always nice to meet up with family.  Makes the long drive worth it when you can incorporate a visit to family.

  • I've had to come in from the garden because my eyes are streaming ... I don't usually suffer like this until the rape seed is in flower ... very early in the season for me :-(

For those who have been concerned about the noises of the barn owls ... apparently this is quite a normal sound ... well ... normal for barn owls!! This link to a page on the Barn Owl Trust website plays a clip ... click on 'Owl sounds' and then 'Adult Barn Owl' http://www.barnowltrust.org.uk/infopage.html?Id=2

  • Thaks DjoanS for the info about the barn owls.  Poor you suffering already, my OH is suffering as well.  I saw in the paper at the weekend that many people are also suffering.
