Hi all; Haven't had time to check any of today's posts; will do that soon. (Looks like there's stil a clump there to me.... but it is dark.)
Nothing is happening. :-)
Well, something (or one) is making a noise now - sounds a bit African
Where IS she????? She's been gone for an age.
Oh dear - I hope the helpful elves haven't scared her off by tidying up the nest.
Evening InC: EJ typically snoozes nearby; she'll likely show up when it gets light there... I think that noise - like a steady tapping? - is the audio at their end.
Hi SoCal. Good to hear EJ has a crash pad nearby - was getting a bit worried there. The sound earlier was more like something messing with the camera. I'm used to the steady beat of the webcam - hasn't helped me to sleep tonight though!
There it is again. Do you hear it?
The sound is now like the old generator powered sound, but the generator has been replaced by the the grid connection. The humming is some inferference being picked up by the circuitry. What the beating tapping noise is, is unknown to me. The bright lights mentioned have been seen frequently in past years, there are two types, one is something to do with the infra red settings I think and the other flashes in the distance were car headlights on a distant corner. The hand seen before turned out to be attached to a body, this hand could do weeding too as it has also provided much needed fish in an emergency, in the past. Watch out for the hand again, when the ringing time is neigh. The other noises are various creatures of the night, including our ospreys as well. What we do not want to see or hear are egg stealing pine-martins.
However that said the empty nest looks peaceful at the moment.

Hi jsb: Thanks for explanation of some of the noise and lights. Missed the hand earlier.
