Morning all! The one good thing about dark mornings is that I can do things like check the Mastercard bill while I'm waiting for the nest to appear.
5:12 a.m. in UK and nest is visible - just - but no occupants right now.
6:05 a.m. in UK and still no visits to nest.
6:22 a.m. in UK. Brief visit from one unID'd osprey (too far away from nest to see anything). Another osprey flew past the nest but didn't land; then our first bird took off again.
Looks like a repeat performance of the earlier visit this morning: One on the nest; another flies by. And here I am, about to go to sleep. I'll give it another five minutes.
11:13 p.m. in SoCal; 7:13 a.m. in UK. Well, whoever it was on the nest, she flew away. And this is where I must disappear too. Night all!
A rather quiet night, then. No one on nest at present (9.32am)
Osprey on tree now but too far away to identify. We need zoom Mr Camera man.
Called away to phone for long call. Mallachie now in dead tree partly oncealed by tree trunk. Looks as if she is eating a fish. Sorry don't know where it came from!
Nothing to photo up to now. Just watching camera touring LG. Lovely day here so off into garden.
I really don't know if anyone (other than me) would like this image of Abernethy Reserve, but just in case, here it is.
