More great news from Dyfi. And we thought yesterday that it couldn't get much better! Thanks to the 'daytime watch' for keeping us updated. Looking on Facebook just now, Nora seems to have got the hang of feeding, too.
Interesting hatch dates (42/ 37/ 38 days in order of laying). Watching mainly Lowes & LG for the last 2 years I've got used to the 35-38 day average - this is a timely and encouraging reminder that eggs not only can, but do hatch beyond 40 days, and can withstand significant periods uncovered at least early in incubation.
Great news from Dyfi, saw them on Springwatch last evening and it seems Nora is now feeding the all the chicks.

All 3 chicks feeding well on sea trout today:
Wonderful videos Alex and Alan . Very many thanks Nora is quickly catching on. bless her. Her first family and she's only 3 years old !!
latest twitter from Dyfi:
"Blimey Monty is on a role. There is still a huge amount of the Sea Trout left and he has just come back with a good size Brown Trout."
looks like another magificent male
Cats and women will do as they please. Dogs and men should relax and get used to it.
Brilliant to see and hear that all is now going so well at Dyfi. Obviously they are all going to eat well on Monty's super catches.
Many thanks Alex for update on theDyfi nest. Is there a web cam on the nest ? The youtube clips are very short but the close ups are brilliant. Would like to be able to see more. So glad that Monty appears to be another terrific provider

There is a cam on the nest which records everything that happens. Some of the footage is edited and posted on the web. However there is no webcam as such. They have hopes that they have one in the future.
