ChrisyB, shame about yet another nest move. This female reminds me of the prev SF peregrine Gracie. She liked moving nests too :)
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Sorry SueC..! I have checked and it is 7V, not YV ! I also have it on a spreadsheet, and must have not had my glasses on when I looked in my diary. !! it would be logical to think of YV to go with the others but as you say it was used the year before.
Yes, ChloeB, it is a nuisance for the set-up with cameras etc on the usual nest all ready. I suppose no streaming to Whinlatter either which is a shame for them. - though I think they managed a more distant view set up in 2008 when it happened the last time. They do say, the new nest should be ok to view from the present upper Dodd Wood site, which is something. So now there are two nice nests vacant ! We keep hoping for more pairs to come and stay.
Dyfi twitter feed:
"Ring on the female has been confirmed & we will be revealing it tomorrow.Sorry to keep you waiting but we want to be sure!"
I'm at work & facebook is barred on company PC so unable to check if there is more info there.
Vespa That is the sum total of the news. I was going to report it but you got here already :)
Tiger Signature
Can't wait to hear this explosive news !
Yes I can see it would be explosive if what you surmise is true........

An ospreys was seen on the nest at Seili Nauvo today at about 6pm. This is about 5 days after last year. See Seili Nauvo.
So "Nora" at Dyfi is identified as 03 (08) from Rutland. I guess Alan and Sandy know her well.
Interesting!
