Nova Scotia Ospreys webcam link

Unfortunately they seem to have got a bag tangled up on the nest and the view is obscured (or a modesty screen perhaps? LOL)
Also interesting article in paper re Nova Scotia ospreys

Good result - ospreys keep their nest !!
On this side of the ocean as mentioned before was infuriated to read about the intruders at the Dyfi site - I really thought this sort of behaviour was from a different age. Makes you realise what a great job is done by various organisations to protect these birds.
3rd chick is on its way at Glaslyn.
Oh I have just learned that Oscar the legendary (for his super white chest) male osprey from Nova Scotia does not seem to have returned this year. Sad news.
He featured in the Quiz thread.

Thanks Tiger hope the weather is not going to be awful for them now.

Thanks Tiger. That is brilliant news.
Tiger - is that a different Oscar to the one that is paired with Ethel on the Museum of Natural History webcam in Nova Scotia ?
It's just that I have relatives in Halifax who follow that webcam and have sent me links showing the two birds with three eggs

Sorry if I'm barking up the wrong tree.
Lofty That was the Oscar that was present in previous years. We have just realised that it is a different male in the nest this year.
Unless he has picked up some gunge on his chest.
The webcam only came on recently.
Thanks Tiger, appreciate your reply - have just had a look at a few pics from last year and compared them to the video I posted before - they are different birds - not just the breast area but the head markings as well.
Just snapped from the stills cam on the BBC pages - a family group shot, the Glaslyn Ospreys.
