Good news from the Wigtown nest:
"Hi all good news just as I was thinking about sending you a reminder that our ospreys would be back soon, guess what EP our male arrived! Before I could send you all an email with that news H/D, our female has also turned up. EP has been on and off the nest since he turned up on the 25th bringing in sticks and starting to dig out the egg hollow. H/D has arrived today from the looks of it and was sitting there happily eating a fish when I came in see what was happening. She has enlarged egg hollow and moved some twigs around to settle in.Great news and a very early arrival, for once I was not even worrying before they got here!"
Thanks you Alan that is great news about the Wigtown nest.

Very interesting history summary of the Dyfi Osprey nest from the last 4 years. It appears that their "pair" from the last 2 years are in fact both males!!!

No wonder they never got round to breeding! Dyfi have put up a second nest for this year, so let's hope they do get a (male/female) pair this year.

Akan thanks for the news about Caerlaverock.
Bit worried about ALICAT as no posts from her today. I know how much she is grieving but hope she will show up tomorrow.
