Weekly Chat, Sunday March 13, 2011

Evening all: Been out all day; now starting to think about dinner.  Back later to catch up.

  • I always like to have the last word after him!

Patricia – just so sorry to read of your added troubles.  Thinking of you and praying for you both.

Wendy – continue having a great time down south, pleased weather has been good for you.

Lynette – thanks, as you can see I haven’t fully signed off yet!

Eagle-Eye – time for my bedtime drink, please!

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • OG - What’s this? Communicating with your OH via the blog! LOL Can I have a morning coffee please?

Diane - I loved the librarian skit. Why is it that people with mobile phones think they cannot be heard by library users if they lurk amongst the shelves?

OG, Heather - Wishing you safe trips.

Margo - What a shame after all your planning that your holiday was ruined by bad weather and virus. Get well soon. Ah ha, Billy Whiz knows the hand that feeds him!

Patricia - Sending healing thoughts your way. I hope you very soon get the real help you need.

Friday morn. Overcast & grey after weeks of sunshine. Visitors here for the stupid car race were expecting sun. Never mind rain is predicted for Sunday - that should add thrills & spills.

    Friday Smile

Chocolate is derived from cocoa beans. Bean = vegetable.
Sugar is derived from either sugar cane or sugar beets.
Both are plants, which places them in the vegetable category.
    Thus, chocolate is a vegetable.

To go one step further, chocolate candy bars also contain milk, which is dairy.
So candy bars are a health food.
Chocolate-covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.

Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look younger.

A nice box of chocolates can provide your total daily intake of calories in one place.

If you've got melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too slowly.

How do you get 2 pounds of chocolate home from the store in a hot car? Simple, eat it in the carpark.

Diet tip: Eat a chocolate bar before each meal. It'll take the edge off your appetite, and you'll eat less.

Eat equal amounts of dark chocolate and white chocolate, that’s a balanced diet.

Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.

If not for chocolate, there would be no need for control top pantyhose. An entire garment industry would be devastated. You can't let that happen, can you?

REMEMBER: "Stressed" spelled backward is "desserts."

  • Just been watching the action at Lily's.  I think they have been trying to sort out the webcam but have been stopped in their tracks and have to play a waiting game. Lily and Hope are present in a couple of pics. Lily is out on her own at the moment biding her time.

  • The babies have been out for their first taste of the fresh air and at present are making a bit of a racket.you can see one of them by Dr Lynn Rogers

  • Hi everyone.

    Just popped in to say.

Eagle Eye:  A belated Happy Birthday to you.  Hope you had a great day :-)

I know I'm probably a bit too late saying this but I hope those going on holiday, have a wonderful time :-)

    AQ:  Brilliant Friday Smile.

Lynette:  Lovely shots from the Lily cam.

    Paul.

Warning!  This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar.  Approach with extreme edginess.

  • Lynette - Thanks for the alert. That's the first time I've managed to log into bearcam and see something happening! Drat, now I have to dash for coffee & cake morning.

  • I'm not quite sure what Dr Rogers and assistant are trying to do , it looks like they are sorting out the webcam or something to do with it. Having to be very patient.

Hope you enjoyed your coffee & came morning AQ. Signing off with one last pic.

  • Lynette  Those are great picture of the bears.

  • New Blog from Caroline and Richard + lovely pic of Loch Garten

  • Thanks, Liz LFW! Very nice to see you!

Patricia: I'm so sorry that your life is so very difficult right now. I hope that you can get some good, competent help. My thoughts are with you. Sending good energy.

Feel better, Margo. Sorry about your holiday.

Hi, Annette. I'm watching the Celtic Thunder: Heritage concert on PBS. Can you get it on your PBS station? I loved Working Man and also the finale, A Voice in the Choir about birds and animals. Lovely.

Off to bed early (for me). Want to be up with the crows in the morning.
