Weekly Chat, Sunday March 13, 2011

Evening all: Been out all day; now starting to think about dinner.  Back later to catch up.

  • DIANE   thank you so much for the news of those 2 dogs. I so wanted them to be rescued and it is good to know they are safe.

  • HERON  glad your very funny post helped cheer Margobird up.

MARGO   Sorry your hols didn't go to plan. As Heron would say bleeping weather!!!!!. Hope you ar eboth well soon and so glad Billy was pleased to see you.

  • Oh, how busy it's been here.  It's only been a couple of days and there are pages more to read.  Just had a quick scan through as off to agility very soon so hope I didn't miss anything important.  Great the camera is back on and ready for the big arrival.

Diane thank you so much for letting us know that those 2 dogs in Japan were rescued. I found that video so upsetting.  If you hear any more about their recovery please let us know.

  • Thanks  dibnlib just one of those thngs, hoping the Florence trip in May will be better than this.  Heron always make me laugh with his lovely sense of humour.  It will be an early night for me tonight, OH says he feels OK and is now on his way back from London so should get home by about 8.30.

  • Thanks Alan I am sure I will start to feel better soon but if not I will go to the doctor this time and not let it turn into a chest or sinus infection.  Thanks for the link to the Grantham peregrine cam and news of a hatch at Shepherdstown  and how tiny is that eaglet.

    Margobird

  • Great dog pics dibnlib.

  • Packing finished as far as can be tonight.

Chloe – thanks; no, I won’t cut them off until totally dead – one is fully brown now, one is half green, third is still green - looks untidy, but I’ll try to be patient!

Dibnlib – love the muddy Boxer – from a distance!

Alicat – lovely photos of Casper all snuggled up in his fleece!

Probably “Goodnight and Goodbye” from me now – until Sunday night or Monday morning – then not long until you know who!!!

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • Diane, Thank you so much for the news of the two Japanese dogs. I didn't read the morning papers properly. I feel so much happier now.

Wendy, I am sure you are enjoying your time in Bath, with your daughter, especially if the sun keeps shining, but that was a very long drive for you.

Margo, Welcome home. So sorry your holiday didn't go to plan and then to take ill as well. Your journey home sounded awful too. It is always so much better to be home when you feel so ill and how lovely of Billy Whizz to welcome you home. I really do hope you recover soon.

Joan, Thanks for being alert and letting us know about the nest cam.

Heather, Sounds as if you are extremely busy, between visitors and then visiting, but I am sure you are enjoying it all.

OG, Thanks for clarifying the rescue team situation. I knew the Sussex team was part of the Government GB team and as I said had seen them on local TV working in Japan but hadn't heard about the independant Scottish team, who were not part of the official team I am so glad that there haven't been any Embassy mistakes and as a nation, our men are willingly doing what they were asked to do by the Japanese, especially as these teams have only just returned from New Zealand after the earthquake there.

Hope you both have a lovely three days away. The weather even looks good.

Jay-me, Try and relax now,  because as you know, things will only get more exciting and hectic shortly. You shouldn't have any computer problems this year.

    Thanks for all posts.
