Evening all: Been out all day; now starting to think about dinner. Back later to catch up.
Well, two roof guys finished at 1pm. (Brenda – they declined offers of tea and coffee, but I think they might have stopped for some while they were missing!) They came back without new tiles, but did the job by swapping drilled ones to new positions. The new configuration looks much more logical – now we await reappearance of Sparky to recommission the installation – hope he remembers he promised to call in on his way back from Stranraer!
Wendy – Happy Anniversary to you and OH – I hope you are enjoying a wonderful day. I hope you can set off as planned tomorrow – I wish you safe travelling and a lovely time seeing your Daughters.
Paul – no gardening today – it is still ****** it down!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Hi everyone. The snow has turned quite heavy here in the last half hour and is starting to cover everything in a white blanket. So much for spring. I wonder if I should phone the Met Office and ask them to provide better weather ;-)Chloe: If your new seed mix has sunflower hearts in it, it should vanish very quickly with little to no waste. The birds that visit me absolutely love sunflower hearts.george: Good to hear Diesel is enjoying himself. Sorry you've been having such wet weather.OG: Sorry your weather is rough. Nice to hear the work on your roof is finished.Well with all the rain and snow getting people down, I think we need someone to chase the miserable weather away.
Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Here is a link which contains some great osprey videos, some from Loch Garten in 1959. See osprey videos.
Paul That is a great picture.

Evening folks Haven't been on at all for few days - very nasty chest infection which has 'floored' me completely. Spent most of the time since Friday sleeping on the sofa. Had to phone the 'out of hours' doctor on Sunday morning and my sister collected my script. I'm still 'barking like a seal' but at least the fever has subsided. Our weather tody is deceptively sunny but it's cold enough for people's breath to hang in the air. Needless to say I haven't been out!
Trish (and others) I so agree about the people who leave their dog poo behind. All my 'walking' jackets and trousers have bags in the pockets and I can't understand what the problem is for others. The worst problem is if your own dog is a 'roller'. My ladylike Fly was one as a puppy (which would have horrified her breeder!) bu she grew out of it, thank goodness.
The scenes of devastation from Japan don't get any less harrowing, do they? I heard on a news bulletin this morning that rescuers had found a 4 month old baby in the ruins of his home and had reunited him with his family - that is quite amazing.
Can't possibly comment on all the posts but hoope to catch up now I'm back in 'the land of the living'.
Hi patriciat sorry to hear that you have been poorly hope you are feeling better soon

Patriciat sorry to hear you've been so ill. Hope the dogs have looked after you well!
Terrible day here today after such a beautiful one yesterday but compared with what other parts of the world are enduring I think we must just count ourselves very very lucky.
TIGER Really enjoyed those videos, thank you. the instictive hunting video was worth watching over and over.
PATRICIAT. Poor you, hope you are completely well soon.
Agree with you about dog poo, thank goodness none of ours have been rollers. Have to say in the woods here people do not tend to bother unless poo is on the track. All of ours have disappeared off into the bondu when necessary and I would be hard put to find any evidence.
My Godmother phoned earlier and all her DiLs relatives in Japan are safe and sound though DiL is due to visit Tokyo next week to clear up some family business so godmother a bit concerned about that. Don't know how to spell it but her name is pronounced Myoori, which I think is so beautiful.
dibnlib Glad you enjoyed them.
