Morning all: Here's to a good week for everyone. Check out latest pages of last week's thread to see great pix by OG of a kestrel on a road sign and a signpost for migrating birds and Gary's photos of the lovable Toffee plus his Toffee-proof technology. Just had dinner and managed to turn perfectly lovely piece of halibut into shoe leather!  Hate it when that happens, but was busy watching weather forecast.  Desk is looking cleaner - can actually see the surface now.  Take care all!

  • Lindybird glad you had a successful afternoon apart from getting stuck in mororway traffic.  My OH crawls up the wall when we get stuck in jams which happens quite a bit in the summer as there are so many holidaymakers down here.  Tomasz is certainly growing at a pace and nice you can see him smile now.

Did you say where you were going for a few days, if so I must have missed it.

    Loved the poem for Diane.

  • Good morning patriciat and well done Nell, she must have been enjoying the walk.  Signs of Spring definitely appearing now and my daffodils are coming into bloom as well as the crocus.  Looking at the trees you can see buds appearing, this really is my favourite time of the year.

  • Morning Margo. It is sunny and quite springlike here now. Temp has just reached 13.5c. I have just seen my first white tailed bumble bee of the season so spring must be round the corner.

  • Hello Diane  and our Lindybird is such a talented lady with her poems.

Love your pic of the Californian Poppy, so bright and cheerful looking.

Did you get the bad winter storm?

  • Hello Paul  and you are right it is very busy on here.  I logged out finally last evening at about 8.00 and couldn't believe how many posts there were this morning.

Glad you have see that yellow thing and hope you have it again today.  it was warm yesterday but feels a little cooler today as there is some wind although at the moment sun out, but rain forecast for later.

  • Good morning Lynette thanks for your captures.  I had quite a bit of time to look at webcams yesterday and spent a lot of time looking at eagle nests.  How busy nature is getting now.  Can hardly keep up with all of them now especially as more and more peregrine cams coming on line.  I have to admit that at the moment Lily is first port of call every day, to catch up with videos posted and the news.  When our ospreys arrive it will be a different story, they will be first.

  • Good morning SheilaFE those cubs are so sweet, not sure what Lily is thinking at the moment though as one of them is bawling for milk.  It never fails to amaze me how they sound like human babies.  Much colder there today.  There will be some lovely pics of them when they get a bigger and Lily leaves the den for a while.

  • Aquilareen  love the Friday Smile.  See your temperatures are warming up again.

Good morning to all not mentioned but must go and do some jobs now.  Hope you are all well and in case I don't get on tomorrow have a good weekend.

OH has just informed he is working for a couple of hours, has a prospective new client to see.  Was hoping he would be able to take it easy and have a rest from work this weekend as he has been so busy of late.
