Morning all: Here's to a good week for everyone. Check out latest pages of last week's thread to see great pix by OG of a kestrel on a road sign and a signpost for migrating birds and Gary's photos of the lovable Toffee plus his Toffee-proof technology. Just had dinner and managed to turn perfectly lovely piece of halibut into shoe leather! Hate it when that happens, but was busy watching weather forecast. Desk is looking cleaner - can actually see the surface now. Take care all!
Morning all,
Lynette : Thanks for all the eagle pics. Too many webcams now. Not sure whether to concentrate on the eagles or the falcons now. And then there is Phoebe and Lily and Hope, Faith & Jason. And the ospreys have not even started yet.
Linda : Enjoyed your poem for Diane. Glad you enjoyed your visit to Tomasz.
AQ : Thanks for the friday smile. 35c is too hot for me.
WendyB: Your OH has an unenviable task. I am not surprised he is unwell with the stress of it all. I am glad I decided to retire at 60. I did enjoy my work but did not like the company politics and began to realise that senior management did not have a clue what they were talking about. Technologically inept just about sums it up.
Thanks to everyone else for the chat. Too numerous to mention individually.

Weather is bright and mild this morning with current temp at 9.5c
LINDY Enjoyed your poem as always and AQs Friday smiles. Can't think where you are going on holiday but have a good time anyway.
PATRICIAT Walking can be so difficult when you have more than 1 dog. In Shetland we sometimes tried to sneak off with Fingal and leave Harvey behind if we felt we were going too far for him. On our return he was always chin on windowsill watching the 3 of us come back up the hill. We used to feel really bad. It was sometimes difficult with Dillon and Fingal as well, as Dillon was always way ahead and Fingal liked to dawdle.
OH has just given Dillon a quick walk before we put him in the car and head for Chanonry. It is a beautiful morning if a little blustery.
Wendy and TerryM Lucky for both of you! I missed any talk when I visited the area three years ago and couldn't fit it in with shifts and buses last year. It was David Anderson who was the alternative to Roy Dennis.

Both peregrines present on the Nottingham cam:

Alan thank you for the video link for 23 Feb. All I could childishly say was oh aren't they sweet! Do we have any idea when they will start to emerge from the den? Given the external temps I assume it will be some time yet. It is 4.00am at present and minus 18F. Not exactly inviting to go to play in the snow!
Good mroning Alan thanks for the capute of the Nottingham peregrines. Had a look and they were both attending to their scrape, fascinating to watch. As soon as one made the little hollow the other one went in and changed it. Just one there now.
Margobird
SheilFE: This is my last pic from last year of Hope in the den. It was taken on 28/03/2010 so they must have emerged round about then:
Lindybird another very clever poem. I have never been able to read poetry, let alone write it. Congratulations. And of course congrats to Diane for winning the prize!.
Good morning dibnlib glad you have some nice weather for your outing.
Alan thanks for advent calendar osprey pic. There are too many webcams to watch now and the ospreys are not here yet. I love watching Lily and the cubs. Hope is amazing the way she is mothering them and of course Lily who is managing to feed all three. Love the pic you put on from last year of Hope, most adorable at that stage. Sun is out again here and very warm after all the cold weather.
