Morning all: Here's to a good week for everyone. Check out latest pages of last week's thread to see great pix by OG of a kestrel on a road sign and a signpost for migrating birds and Gary's photos of the lovable Toffee plus his Toffee-proof technology. Just had dinner and managed to turn perfectly lovely piece of halibut into shoe leather! Hate it when that happens, but was busy watching weather forecast. Desk is looking cleaner - can actually see the surface now. Take care all!
Sheila, I managed to catch Roy Dennis at a Boat of Garten talk on the day we arrived two years ago, very interesting. Last year it was David (?) from LG.
Terry in Cumbria
Sheila and TerryM I was lucky enough to listen to Roy Dennis when he was speaking at the Glenfiddich Distillery.....whisky, ospreys and golden eagles..what a heady mix!!!
WENDY Hopefully now OH can be given correct meds.
Knew Terry Nutkins lived with Gavin Maxwell when he was a boy. I have vague memories that he may also have done some "Animal Magic" with Johnny Morris. Great name isn't it?
A friend is holidaying in Whistler at the moment (visiting daughter who is learning to become a ski instructor) she has just been on facebook saying it is an almost unbearably cold minus 26 degrees, so I commented that RAF Shawbury was minus 25 degrees for 3 weeks solid in Jan 1982

Can't believe another 2 pages since this afternoon.
Margobird - put the Decorah eagles on this afternoon and watched for a min or two, and visited all the eagle and osprey cams. It gets quite adictive I have to remind myself to go and get dinner going, although I do most prep in the morning so just needs switching on, so to speak ,later on. Like some of you, I tend to do chores first thing and then have afternoon fairly free to do whatever.
Alan - thanks for the links re eagles and Lily's latest antics.

Remember the shows with "Nutkins" and Chris Packham, although find him a bit geeky. Steve Backshall is great presenting some of the wildlife programmes that come on too. Only caught the odd on on CBBC. Remember Michaela too, she went on to present programmes that were shown on Animal Planet, I think somewhere in Africa. Gosh, it all brings back happy memories.
Its delightful Alan and you can see the two babies quite clearly, they manage to film it far clearly than I can. Aren't they growing up fast!
3 more of the eagle cams, no opreys tonight.
Decorah, eagle cam outdoor channel, and Mrs. Norfolk.
Also one taken this afternoon at Sequoya
Hi everyone.I honestly don't know where the last few days went to but thankfully I can report some lovely weather today. There was a big yellow thing in the sky which gave off a bright light, so bright that I had to wear sunglasses. I really hope we get a warm summer after the cold winter we had. This thread has certainly been busy, so thanks to everyone for all your posts and pics. Happy Thursday!Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
"This thread has certainly been busy" says Paul - certainly has! I can't hardly keep up - I am so busy myself at present.
Wended our way south today after an early lunch, to go & help our Youngest on a major trip to the Tip and to visit Sweetpea of course. All accomplished including picking up Sons car from the garage after a yearly service, so a lot achieved in an afternoon. Left at teatime as OH gone out tonight, but held up almost all the way home on the Motorways by queues, so very glad indeed that we took a loo stop on the way, as the stop starting was very unpredictable! Ate some warmed up stew with bought chips for a quick meal when we finally got in - I was soooo tired, I have just been sitting. Little Grandson growing fast: bigger every time I pick him up. He is now often gazing solemnly at us, and occasionally breaking into a charming smile! Will be 12 weeks old in a few days - how the time has flown already. (no photos this time - I have just left my memory card from the digital camera with the processors, to get the last pics printed out & for a disc to be made so that I can wipe the card & start again).
Wendy: Glad that your OH has been finally diagnosed and that you can get his meds sorted. These things are never easy.
