Morning all: Here's to a good week for everyone. Check out latest pages of last week's thread to see great pix by OG of a kestrel on a road sign and a signpost for migrating birds and Gary's photos of the lovable Toffee plus his Toffee-proof technology. Just had dinner and managed to turn perfectly lovely piece of halibut into shoe leather! Hate it when that happens, but was busy watching weather forecast. Desk is looking cleaner - can actually see the surface now. Take care all!
Good morning original goldfinch sorry to read about the hair dryer incident. Had the same thing happened to me a few years ago but fortunately I did not get burnt. Hope it is not too sore today. So pleased your sone will be arriving tomorrow and stayig until Saturday. It will be good for you to see him as I know how much you worry about him.

Trish 2 thanks for the photos. If this is just a sample of what I will see I will be so happy to be somewhere so beautiful. Shame you are not there at the same time.
Good afternoon SheilaFE if my memory serves me right they had snow at the Decorah nest last year.
Going to try and post on your personal page to see if I can get one through to you.
Lindybird thanks for the link to the owls, how interesting.
geogeg so pleased you are still getting on well with Diesel. My sister's Springer Jake, is very good when he comes in wet. My sister always has a towel by the door and he stands there waiting for her to dry him off.
A quick Hello to all I have not mentioned, hope all OK with you. Had to go and get some more bird food this morning. Not the best day to be out as it was pouring with rain. Supposed to dry out later but nt much sign of it at the moment.
Off to see a talk being given by Chris Packam tonight. Will reserve any thought I have about him until I have been. Let you know tomorrow what I thought.

Alan those are amazing pics although the owner of the pond might not have been to pleased, a very expensive meal. The photographer sums it up well when he says he is absolutely captivated by the beauty of these birds.
Lindy, I can't contribute much to the what-to-chuck-out-if-I-got-rich competition I'm afraid. Keeping things going until they fall apart is ingrained. Maybe I would get a new hairdrier (just in case)! No, I know, I would chuck out the tatty cardboard boxes the cats doss in in the kitchen and give them individual fleece beds.
