Weekly Chat, Sunday February 20, 2011

Morning all: Here's to a good week for everyone. Check out latest pages of last week's thread to see great pix by OG of a kestrel on a road sign and a signpost for migrating birds and Gary's photos of the lovable Toffee plus his Toffee-proof technology. Just had dinner and managed to turn perfectly lovely piece of halibut into shoe leather!  Hate it when that happens, but was busy watching weather forecast.  Desk is looking cleaner - can actually see the surface now.  Take care all!

  • Just had another call from OH and he is now about to get on a train to do the last leg of his journey.  Will be pleased to see him.  Hug will be passed on.

Hope the moment of truth with the trousers is a good one and you have not put on weight.

  • Wendy: I'm sorry that your OH is feeling poorly. Hope the medication helps and he fully recovers very soon!

  • WENDY  Sorry to hear that OH is unwell, hope you get an answer to the problem soon.

Valentines Day came and I got a super card from OH, but could I find the one I bought for him - no way. OHs bottom lip started to wobble and by Sat I still had not found it and bottom lip had hit the ground. Sunday came and I hunted again in all my hidey places (by this time I had started to think it would be next years card. Then eureka I found it. Glad I did or divorce may have followed. Also it was a particularly good card with a bizzarrly striped frog with huge eyes. We don't go in for hearts or roses.

OH about to take Dillon out for evening walk and I can hear him jumping down from double bed where he has just had a snooze after his hard day of walking, eating and cuddles. Its a dogs life!

  • Evening dibnlib glad you found the card eventually.  Laughed at your bottom lip description.

Hope Dillon enjoys his wall after his very hard day.

  • Dibnlib: I have hidey places but then forget where they are...I put my confusion down to age.

Are you gyming yet? Saw Laura today for our one to one and she was pretty hard on me and didn't have enough breath for out usual chat.

Not sure about OH at the moment as he has his quiet non conversational spells and we have got one of those at present .

Margo: Ditto you are going to love the scenery.

  • New egg reported for Phoebe. This is the new nest:

  • Alan she didn't waste much time did she in laying an egg.  Was watching yesterday and there was another humming bird pinching bits from her nest.  Pheobe won in the end.

    Margobird

  • Hello.   How lovely that Phoebe (or her namesake at least)  has laid another egg already.

Can't be long till he's home now, margo!

Sorry to hear that your OH is a bit poorly, Wendy.  Rather frustrating not to get a diagnosis right away.

Lovely to hear from you again Heather - just pop in!

dibnlib:   We don't go in for hearts & roses much either, married too long.  I gave him a picture of two cute labrador pups and he gave me a silly verse!

Must go and do stuff, and get off this keyboard!

  • ps.  Annette:   When in doubt with scales, its obvious - always believe the one which says you are the lightest.

  • Hi everyone. Busy day here. OH better but still not right so worked from home. Had 3-4 inches of snow overnight but was able to plough that to the road myself and saved $50! All sorted now.

Will try and catch up tomorrow but just wanted to say I enjoiyed skim reading the posts

Margobird. Your OH should be home in 25 mins:)) Super stuff

Wendy, sorry about your OH. Not nice if it required a hospital visit:( Hope he improves soon
