5:30 in UK. Very late logging on tonight - but now that I have, we have two birds: One on the nest and another on the post. They're just sitting there. Let's see who shows up next!
5:33: (Identical post on Facebook) Third bird has arrived - no fish on hand apparently. Third bird has antenna, but can't see the other two clearly. Who's the one with the mostly white front - she's on the post. Ah, something just flew past - and higher than the girls. THe two on the nest all looking up and one is calling by all the shaking going on. OK. It's Odin with a good-sized fish (I assume Odin because he didn't hang about, but only an assumption). A kerfuffle over the fish and one of them has grabbed it and won't let the others near - mantling and eating. Really! Such bad manners. oh, nasty bit of aggression toward sibling on the part of the one with the fish - is this Garten not sharing again? (sorry Maureen!). :-)
5:46. OK, it's NOT Garten eating - just saw an antenna. Ooops. Will probably get note from Garten via Maureen telling me to get my eyes tested.
6:03 Oh dear, piggy osprey still eating while the other two sit hunched over nearby.
Garten clearly interested in eating and edges closer to Piggy, but no luck. The third chick went off (in a huff?) but has now returned (I'm assuming it's the same chick) to the camera post - and has left again. And there goes Garten too! Piggy still on nest but seems more interested in what's going on elsewhere (oh there's a passing small bird) than in her fish. Aha. Osprey flies past camera but does not alight on nest - and there it goes again! Who is that?

Notice another similarity between our young birds and we bloggers? Now we are'nt being waited on hand and foot, we're sorting ourselves and this website out quite well, don't you think? I think we're getting a bit of the 'tough love' treatment too! ;-)
Smiles, Jan.
6:30 Two more birds arrive at nest. - Ms. Piggy with a fish mantles greedily. Oh and here comes a fourth bird WITH ANOTHER FISH in its talons, which is snatched away by the hungry twosome. And lhe/she eaves immediately! WhoWAS that masked osprey? Odin or EJ? Don't know. So now two birds are eating while the third (tagged) chick sits nearby.
Piggy was alone on the nest for a while, then the other two girls returned, closely followed by Odin? with another fish. One of the hungry sisters wrestled the fish from Odin, who promptly disappeared. Then the fish was wrestled form that bird by her sister, who mantled over it and wouldn't share, dispite a few attempts by the youngster who first had the fish. Now the fishless sister has moved off and is ignoring both the others. She looks for all the world as though she is in a huff!!!
Ooooh, Annette, we must have both been watching and posting at the same time! :-)
Any other bloggers in the neighborhood?
I think it's just us two, Annette. It's 3.45 pm out my way now.
6:47 Camera flickering badly and seems to have gone down.....
