OK. I'm here - where've the rest of you gone? Just kidding. Let's see how this goes. If it gets onerous, we can change it.. It's about 2 1/2 hours to first light at LG. Back then!
Wow I just got Google Earth to work!! Last year I was not able to get it to work. I have a Mac and didn't realize there is a special application for a Mac. I am a bit behind the learning curve but i will catch up. LOL
Rothes has traveled quite a distance. Mallachie is a homebody she has barely ventured from the nest area. That is a bit worrisome since she only has a few weeks until she is suppose migrate. LG may have a winter house guest. LOL

Hi Barbara! Glad you found this page. I posted info about it on the Diary page, the Facebook page, and another place - geez! People are going to be sick of me! Haven't had a chance to check Google yet but will do shortly - MUST do some other stuff this evening while it's still dark at LG or my husband will start wondering what's going on. :-)
You're right about Mallachie, but Rothes was always impatient to leave the nest while M and G seemed less so. Let's hope the migrating gene kicks in soon.
4:18 a.m. in UK. Just saw a flicker in front of the camera and can just make out a bird on the nest - she/he didn't stay long!
4:39 a.m. UFO - could be Garten but can't see clearly - arrives at nest. Seems interested in what's going on above but takes off and sort of helicopters down below the nest at the front then rises up again and lands. Huh, heads down in front of the nest again - what's down there - that old fish that M dropped yesterday??
5 a.m. Two birds arrive on nest simultaneously - I think one is EJ with a fish. Both are mantling...and here comes another. But it's two's company, three's a crowd today and one of the original two takes of (EJ I think). And we have color (much later these days...) OK, somebody (Garten?) seems to have a fish in her hand and is scarfing it up. The other bird (can now see an antenna) leaves - well, Garten isn't exactly the sharing type is she?
5:08 a.m. And here comes a bird with a tag; she approaches Garten, who clasps the fish determinedly and turns away with it. I think the second bird is Mallachie
CLARIFICATION: The Daily Update is on the LG site under Groups/Loch Garten Ospreys.
Been so busy back and forth with all these websites I've missed some action on the nest. Mallachie (I think) left; then Garten left, and think M (?) is back and calling.
Oh geez Louise I thought I'd posted that last entry on the DIARY page!!! This is SO confusing. I'm really tired and am going to sign off now.
One chick on the nest calling for food. It has an aerial and I think it is Rothes It looks a bit windy and chilly. She has feathers covering her feet.
07.00 hours and the nest is empty. So sorry I duplicated this thread, I forgot to refresh my page and didn't reallise Annette had already started one. (Thought that a bit strange, Should have twigged quicker :( ) .
