I am not sure if we should have separate threads for Rothes and Mallachie. If people feel we should the best start them right away.
The first data has been published on Google Earth and immediately it is amazing how much further Rothes has flown that Mallachie.

Looks like she is taking a very different route to Deshar and Nethy last year. Mind you, there is still time to change her course.
Both Richard Thaxton and Katie Fuller have blogged to say that the map as presently viewed should not show the up and down movement. Hopefully they'll be able to correct it soon. I got worried for a bit - I thought we might have had another fishing line incident, this time with a very lengthy piece of elastic!

John, Do you perhaps have your screen zoom level set too high? At the bottom right of your screen there should be a percentage showing. Normal is 100%. If you hover your mouse around this area, you can reduce the percentage to reduce the size of objects on the screen. This should show you the <OK> button. If for some reaon this doesn't apply to you, why not try just using the <Enter> key on you keyboard? Default settings usually favour <OK> rather than <cancel> , so this should work for you. Good luck!

I hope you got your Google Earth sorted and you are with us now John at the start of the migration

Update - Rothes in Devon!!
So great to see Rothes making such good progress.
Stay safe little ( or big!) one:)
Last year, Nethy and Deshar hung around in the South of England for a little while - guess they were perfecting their fishing skills. Wonder if Rothes plans to do the same or will she just head straight over th channel to France? If only we knew what they were thinking.
The map has now been corrected. Rothes seems to be going west before last data point. hope she continues down to France and takes a stopover. The route over the Bay of Biscay is a long one.
I wasn't far out with my estimate for Rothes getting down to Plymouth then across to France
Rothes now well down eastern coast of France and not attempting to fly across the Bay of Biscay
