Weekly Chat, Sunday February 6, 2011

Hi everyone.

Welcome to another week.  A week that brings us closer to the return of the Ospreys.  Hooray!

Happy Sunday!

Paul.

Warning!  This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar.  Approach with extreme edginess.

  • Good morning Lynette  thanks for all your captures.  Always look forward to seeing them.  I thought the eagle looked simply magnificent yesterday in the snow.  Would have made a wonderful picture for framing.   Was a cit worried about all the snow but reading the blog reassured me as they are used to this sort of weather and the next cup would be warm and dry.

I bet Bea and Jay will fledge or have already done so today.  Can't believe how quickly they grew.  Was watching Lily yesterday when Hope was moaning and wanting milk, eventually Lily gave in and managed to settle her down.

  • Good morning HeatherB  nice to see you again.  Congratulation to SiL for his promotion and glad flashbacks and dreams ae receding but terrible that he may have to go back to Afghanistan.  Must be a constant worry for your daughter.

  • Good morning ALICAT  lovely captures of Bea and Jay.  How quickly they have grown.  Pheobe will see them off and probably mate again in the not too distant future and we will have more to watch.

  • Good morning WendyB pleased it is warming up slighly for you.  Like you have to have my hair cut every 4 weeks otherwise I resemble the Wild Man of Borneo.  I keep mine short as it is easier to deal with but have to have a light perm to get a bit of wave in it as it is very straight.

Perhaps they have got so much grit now they are just spraying it everywhere.  Seems a bit daft when it is not needed.

Will post flight times on your personal page over the weekend probably.  I am getting very excited about it already.

Lucky you seeing 3 buzzards, don't see them but do see sparrowhaws, a female visits my garden at frequent intervals.

  • Good morning george g so pleased that you and Diesel are getting on so well already.  Sounds like a lovely walk you had and in the sun too.

Good night out for you last Friday but you were rather late home.  Is Diesel good when you are nto there? or did you take him with you.

  • Hello again Heather B and thank you for your kind throughts re my sister.  It has and will be a worrying time for all the family.

I am sure you know I have been accepted as a volunteer at LG in June and will be there from 11 to 18 June.  It would be great if we could meet up and you could break your duck with never having visited LG.  Just a thought but it would be nice to meet.

  • GARY  Don't know why but I too had assumed you were an experienced puppy Dad. Think that in the end it is a hit and miss affair as all our Goldies have been so very different. Harvey hardly ever put a foot wrong, even as a pup, Fingal loved anything leather (he considered my shoes and handbags a speciality. Dillon liked lino, carpet edges, skirting boards in kitchen and hall and kitchen furniture edges and plastic screws. We have already decided that if we get another pup we will get an appropriate box for when we are not around to keep an eye out for mischief. Thing is that no matter what damage they do as Pups they do grow out of it and it is well worth the trouble.

Had a wonderful walk at Nairn beach yesterday afternoon. Blue sky and there was warmth in the sun. Went to Brodie Countryfare for a browse and coffee after.

Advce from GP and am now on Calcium tabs which is what I thought would happen. Take 2 daily ammounting to the calcium needed for   the day so don't have to put thought into my diet apart from eating less overall!!!!
