Hi everyone.Welcome to another week. A week that brings us closer to the return of the Ospreys. Hooray!
Happy Sunday!Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Back from the hairdressers feeling much more me, I have it cut every 4 weeks to keep it short as I like it that way but this time it was nearly 5 weeks. Sunny trip back from Elgin and 7 degrees at 3.30 so I was amazed to be following a working gritter lorry. Not needed but as rare as hens teeth when we needed them in the winter.
MARGO: Look forward to hearing your flight times...once it is booked it will be even more exciting coming up here.
GEORGE: Diesel sounds as though has totally relaxed being with you.
DIBNLIB: Up until now Daisy has had a flat bed this is the first one with sides and I gather she was chewing it last night...so could well go the same way as the 2 pink dusters!!! Or relegated to the shed.
Highlight of the day birdy wize were 3 buzzard flying around the field behind me calling to each other and now and then landing on some very large larch trees. So spring has sprung and I suppose eventually the 3 will become 2.
Hi just taken these two which are of bea i think trying to fledge

Good afternoon all! Can only manage an hour standing (with a break partway through) but just come in from 15 mins in greenhouse and then 45 mins washing flower pots in back of garage with the door open for fresh air (had to wash sinks and drainers before I could start!) – even sat on the deck a while to receive phone call from Son! Sun still shining on OH who is still outside painting the arch with wood treatment – looks as if he will finish soon, despite having to clean up spilt treatment on the step ladder and pavers! Cleaner went through whole house without having to put lights on today, so she felt cheered too – and remembered to bring photos of her wee granddaughter to show me.
Thanks to various folks for captures.
Heather – lovely to “see” you again – and so pleased you have been lurking and kept up with our news etc. Oh, do get yourself down to Loch Garten this season – you’ll love it – not just ospreys but amazingly close to many other Birds, Squirrels etc, enjoy the scenery of the Lochs and Mountains – and smell that real Pine Forest and breathe in the Fresh Air there!
George –sounds like everything is going well for you and Diesel – I am so pleased for you. And it’s really good that he waits for you in the mornings. Lovely when you can see across the Forth like that on your walks. Camera must bring back some unhappy memory for him – but give him time and eventually we shall all see him!
Wendy – typical of gritters when apparently not needed – what a waste of resources, I thought we were short of the stuff! Maybe they have to use up this year’s supply to budget for as much next year.
Just seen the time - must assemble the parts of dinner!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Off to rose garden (weeding on the menu). For wall-to-wall sunshine and temps in the high 60sF, check out Trucker Steve's cam as he approaches LA and heads north: http://www.bigrigtruckcam.com/ He's on the east side of LA now.... He's on the 10, but should jump up to the 210 before he hits downtown LA.
Back later.
Heather: Was thinking about you just yesterday!! Is your son (or was it son-in-law?) back in Afghanistan yet?
Now that scam emails are infecting one of my 'proper' email addresses, instead of a 'throwaway' address that I can change or discard at will, as has been the case up until now. I intend to up my game a little to prevent any intrusion by trojans and the like. What I plan to do, is to segregate my email on a different laptop, from the one I use for banking, online shopping and the like.......Has anyone tried that? I would be interested to hear of any difficulties or issues that anyone has experienced. So if you were joebloggs@btinternet.com, you could use it as a normal address and also as a logon ID on a different laptop, so that if that address somehow caused a keystroke logger trojan to bury itself in the laptop used for email, it would not really be able to record anything sensitive.

Sat track schedule Spring 2014
LG 7 days; RW & SWT nil; LDOP varies
It has been raining all day. Very heavy right now.
Yes, OG, we did go out for lunch. I was feeling very hungry this morning but didn't feel like cooking.
Alicat/ Alan. Love those Eagle pictures, but do feel sorry for that poor bird having to sit in the snow.
Heather, Lovely to hear from you. We all make our own choices, but I know I couldn't live so near LG and never visit. I would have thought just the ospreys would have lured you there. Please join us when you get the urge, as you know, we don't just talk about flora, fauna and pets. We would love to know where your son in law is and how your daughter and her children are doing.
George, It sounds as though you are forming quite a relationship with Diesel and I envy the beautiful views you describe whilst on your walk. That was quite a long but enjoyable evening at your cousin's home.
Hello al! Yes,, the ospreys are luring me and I hope that I will be there this year! It is silly really, a bit like living in London and never seeing the 'sights'----- this is a poor comparison but it is the best way that I can describe it.
Son in law is doing OK. He had very disrupted sleep and some flashbacks for a couple of months but my daughter says that things are improving . He is back in Edinburgh meantime, had a promotion - back to Afghanistan at some point unless the powers that be decide differently!
Just caught up with all the news.
OG - glad you had a good evening last night
Alicat and Alan - super shots, have just taken some myself and will post soon. Bea and Jay are still there, snow at Norfolk, some activity in Lily's den.
Auntie - love that pic of the two eagles with a visitor on their backs!!!!!!!!
Must remember to look at big truck cam soon.
Daisy May looks well pleased with her new bed, WendyB.

WendyB and dibnib, glad your meetup went OK and that you enjoyed each others company.
Margobird - glad the Gas people arrived and executed the job to near perfection!!!
Diane and Annette - one experiencing freezing temps and the other glorious sunshine, oh my. Will look in on bigtruckcam.
Pics of Lily, Bea and Jay and Norfolk coming up.
Been a dull day with rain at times - still it was forecast. Not much different for tomorrow, but lets remind ourselves that the sun is up there, he just can't put his hat on at the moment. Did anyone read or see on the TV about the mapping of the sun in 3D - amazing breakthrough with satelites on either side of the sun doing the mapping.
Just pottered about today but had some ironing in the morning to do and then a whole stack from the week to sort out and put away.
Hope you all have a nice day tomorrow and whatever happens, stay happy, only 42 days to go now.
