Weekly Chat, Sunday February 6, 2011

Hi everyone.

Welcome to another week.  A week that brings us closer to the return of the Ospreys.  Hooray!

Happy Sunday!

Paul.

Warning!  This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar.  Approach with extreme edginess.

  • Met up with WENDY yesterday and OH and I thoroughly enjoyed her company. We spent nearly 3 hours chatting over coffee and scones at Tiso. Off now for GP appt then gym and swim.

  • Morning, All:   Brilliant pic, auntie!  just love it!   Another grey day here, but I shall be too busy to notice, anyway..   lots to do today..

dibnlib:   How nice that you were able to meet up with Wendy for a chat. Did you recognise each other ok ?

Thanks to All commiserating with my health probs:   I'm now doing what my mother -in-law used to say "coughing better, now".

  • Have been reading back whilst chomping on what Terry Wogan used to call my "Wheetibangs".

george:   So very pleased to hear that you and Diesel are giving it a go.   We are all wondering how you are getting along:  hope all works out for you both.

OG:  Sounds like an expensive evening at Bird Club!  Hope you have plenty of room on the walls for all those new pics!  You didn't say what you won in the raffle - was it something chocolate or alcoholic??  I was buying birthday cards in Smiths the other day, when I saw that the RSPB cards had a cracking one of a photo of an Osprey mother & chick - of course I had to buy it and now will have to look for a suitable frame. Goodness only knows where it can be hung afterwards.

Emma Peel:  Nice to see you on here again. Hope things are going well with you.

margo:   Let me know if you keep on finding money!  I did find a ten pound note once years ago when clearing out a drawer, & as money was very tight at the time, agonised on how best to spend it.  When my mother fell ill, I started tidying all her things and found that she had put a 20 pound note between each tea towel in the kitchen drawer!   Must have intended to pay a bill with it, and she lived in fear of being burgled.

Annette:   Lovely description of your wonderful concert:  glad you enjoyed it so much.  He always sounds as if he is a very sensitive musician, it must have been sublime.

Gary:  If you keep putting on those lovely pics of your Golden Girl, we shall all want one soon!  I've decided to call her "Toffeetips".

Off to get my shower, then into the fray!

  • No problem Lynette, thanks for offering a solution, and thanks for the penguin pics, I keep forgetting to look.

Morning auntie, love your eagle pic :)

Hi Lindy, we always say coughing better, too. Hope you really are.

  • Super sunny start to the day but the only problem is it shows up the grime on the windows after a few days of bad weather.

Met up with Dibnlib and OH it was a really good get together..well it was for me and I hope it was for them. Where the time went I don't know it was rush hour in Inverness and getting dark as we left Tiso. Another hour journey before I got home and OH was starting to wonder where I had got to, As you can imagine evening meal was late. Hoping they might let me meet Dillon next time...

My yougest has just had a new bed and Daisy May was jealous..so a picture of a very proud Daisy with her new purchase!!

  • Good morning Lindybird pleased you are "coughing bettter".  I will let you know if I find any more money, I am always happy when this happens.  The story about your mother reminded me of my Dad.  When my sister and I cleared out his home we found a lot of money that he had put inside books would you believe.  He had loads of books and it took us ages for us to find it all.  He didn't  trust banks either.

dibnlib so pleased you enyoyed meeting up with Wendy.

British Gas here at the moment putting the new cylinder in and I am impressed.  They arrived when they said they would at 8.30 and cylinder is already in and water running from taps already.  When they took the old one they found that the coil has gone as well so we would have had problems even without the leak.

Rotten day here pouring with rain and as yet haven't see Billy so hopefully he found somewhere out of the rain.  As soon as it stops he will be round to top up on food and milk.

Off to read the rest of the posts now as it has been really busy again.

    Have a good day all.

  • Good morning WendyB so pleased you had a nice day with dibnlib yesterday.

Will post on your personal page soon with my flight details.  We have gone with Flybe after all as it worked out cheaper.

What a little sweetheart Daisy May is and she is obviously enjoying her new bed.

  • Good morning auntie and what a lovely photo and thanks for the link, will look at that later.  Still very cold for you so take care when you are out and about.

  • Morning all,

Auntie : Great pic of the White Tailed Eagles.

Emma : Great result for Scotland last night. 3 - 0 and it could have been a lot more. Dundee FC still fighting hard, undefeated  in league matches since administration and would have been top of the league had they not been deducted 25 points. It is so galling but it is what it is.

Dibnlib & WendyB : Glad you managed to get together and had a nice time.

Lynette : Thanks for the pics once again.

OG : Sounds like you had a nice time at the bird club.

Margo : British Gas seem to be on the ball on this occasion and it sounds like the cylinder was replaced just in time.

Everyone else thanks for the chat , pics etc.

Weather is cloudy with a little light rain at the moment but still mild. Temp 10.6 c. Not sure what is on today as the weather is not so good. We will see what evolves.

  • Hi took these last night couldn't get on because of OH, on it all night
