Weekly Chat, Sunday February 6, 2011

Hi everyone.

Welcome to another week.  A week that brings us closer to the return of the Ospreys.  Hooray!

Happy Sunday!

Paul.

Warning!  This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar.  Approach with extreme edginess.

  • Afternoon all.

Heron, thanks for starting us off. I see "we" achived your goal of over 300 posts for last week. Do you care to set another one for this week?

Annette, I never knew ironing boards could be so exciting! LOL. Now, all in one remote controls.... Hope you have a nice day and son't miss all the crowds. I am a "typical" man shopping, if I see something that I like and it works get it. I remember shopping for a hat for my wedding with mum and it took 9 hours and we ended up getting the very first one she tried on. That tested my powers of self control I can tell you!!

Alan, glad you're feeling a little better

OG, sorry about the cramp. That sounds very painful. Hope you've come to a little

Linda, sorry you're still feeling bad as well. These bugs seem bad at the moment, if you get one, it takes ages to shake it off.

Brenda, hope OH got his lunch:)

Well, Toffee (or The Toffster as I call her which my OH hates with a passion) is doing great. No whining for the first 2 nights. She is sleeping in a crate/cage thing in our bedroom. So we can get up in the night and let her out (as the bedroom is downstairs) Think we played too much with her yesterday as she crashed out just before bed! Anyway, it's all going well.

Weather seems to be in a lull. We are forecast to hit 3 degrees today which will feel wonderful.

Dibnlib, I will keep you updated with all the stories don't worry!

Terry, that sounds very energetic! Hope you are able to rest up a bit now.

  • At Terry's request:) lol

  • Nice shot of Toffee and her masters shoes. I had a black lab that used to fetch my trainers on request when going for a walk.

  • Thanks Alan. That may be one of the first things I teach her! Thanks for the screen shot

  • OG   sorry to hear you had such a bad night, do hop tonight is better.

Thanks BRENDA  OH gone to work feeling much better. Bit of a tummy bug so I am sure I will not catch it.

What a shame we lost the rugby but OH assures me it was a good game. Spent this aft with nose to the grindstone resuming the ITALL/PDA course work which has been on hold since my accident. Tutor came round for a 1/1 last week so I had better show willing.

  • Love it GARY just love it. Dillon rests his weary head on his toys. Harvey our first used to take OHs slippers off his feet when he felt he was overdue a walk.

  • Thanks for the pic. Alan. Just enjoyed seeing that Liverpool beat Chelsea.

Yes, Gary, I did eventually feed OH. Love the photograph of Toffee. Don't think she is quite ready to bring your shoes to you yet but pleased to see she is not pulling them around by their laces or chewing them. A lovely peaceful moment.

  • Thanks to everyone who suggested places to stay near LG. Having booked rather impulsively yesterday after finding the holiday, I have realised I am going to have to wait until they get enough bookings for the week to operate, before arranging flights & somewhere to stay. Group holidays are like this - I was booking #5 and I think they need 8, but will check tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

OG Yes, Amberley Wild Brooks are close to Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre (formerly the Chalk Pits) - how do you know of it? I must go back when it reopens in the spring, as it has developed a lot in recent years and I haven't been for ages.

Glad people enjoyed the pieces by John Ireland - I looked him up on Wikipedia and found he spent his later years living in this converted windmill - which is close to a junction I often drive past, but I knew nothing about the windmill. Taking part in Chat is obviously good for developing your local knowledge!

dibnlib Have finally tried the smoked fish risotto recipe which you posted a while back - it was very good. You seem to be making progress with the walking

    Gary Gorgeous puppy pics!

  • Dibnlib, Glad to hear your OH is feeling better. I think we all expect the 'home teams' to beat the Italians but they have improved so much now and have become worthy opponents now. I have always enjoyed watching rugby union, except when my son played for his school. I was always worried in case he got injured.

  • BrendaH : I was also glad that Liverpool beat Chelsea.
