Introductions I guess.

Now I have been directed to the correct place. Hello everyone again. Just been out walking the dog between torrential downpours here in Huntingdonshire/Cambridgeshire. Lots of action on the nest today as previously reported on Facebook

  • Have a great trip Elly1, make sure you let us know what you find up there!!

  • Hi Elly1!  Enjoy your trip to LG.  Wish I could come too, but it's just a bit too far for me.  ;-)  I understand my ancestors hailed from Stockport (the Longson family), so I'm mentally hitching a ride with you.  Hope the weather clears for you.

    Smiles, Jan.

Finally made it here!  Well no guesses for who I am!  I'm now about to wade through about 12 hours of the webcam!!!

Oh Robert I'm so pleased to hear you were recording today. You'll have an incredible amount of exciting footage today, especially that whopper EJ brought in. I can see the video subtitles now..."EJ brings in whopper, Mallachie tucks in"...fast forward "Mallachie still eating" "...fast forward "still eating....."....

Looking forward to seeing it :-)

Make the most of today because, unlike Sky+, there isn't a rewind button.

  • I'm not really into all this blogging malarky.  I think  I spent too long hosting for MSN in their chat rooms - until they closed down.  Now I am still finding my  way round all other possibilities and I was the "someone" who was prepared to open a chat room but wasn't aware of the Facebook site you all used.

Now that we have this site I am sure it will all work out  fine for us all once we get to grips with it.  Thank you to the team for sorting it for us

We are flat sitting at my daughter's until Monday or Tuesday so I don't have much time on the computer until we get back home.  Then I will get to grips with this.  In case any of you are interested the avatar is a photo I took at Abbotsbury  yesterday.

Use whatever talent you possess: the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sing the best.

  • I seem to be ping ponging around joining everything here to be sure I don't miss anything. LOL I will eventually get the  hang of this  new system. The weather report  from  my area won't be of any value  since I am in the USA , but it is raining here too

  • Well I finally made it here after the FaceBook blogs that are such fun, not sure how I did it but am sure I will get the hang of it soon, good to see you on here GaryS   .... after a day away what a difference there is.... and now back to watching THAT family, it si 4.36am UK time, bet those guys are snoozing.....

  • Just as I was getting used to the old format, it changes!  I like the blue background (my favourite colour) & hope to get used to using the new format without too many booboos.

I visited LG last Sunday and was delighted to see lots of activity around the nest - but they will soon be leaving us now, so "grumpy" will be a suitable avatar for me then!

    Hi Everyone

Just found my way here. Been following the Ospreys for a long time now but have never 'blogged' before. Hopefully will be able to work this! Well impressed with the health and strength of the 'family' this year. I am based in Glenurquhart where we have had one heavy shower of rain that has lasted about 5 days now!

    Nice to meet everyone!

Sorry, folks, reporting warm breeze and clear blue sky here on the "Costa del Solway" - other half is outside mowing.

Superb pictures today from LG - good to see the three sisters up close before they leave.

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • Hi Everyone. Finally got here but have scrambled eggs for brains now. Still trying to work out how to request someone to be 'my friend'. Sure I will eventually get there LOL (eventually being the operative word there)!

  • Hello all, I'm here too - I post more on the Mull sea eagles blog, but I read the LG one regularly so thought I'd join in now it's all new.
