Morning all: Long day at the rose garden - poor Robert who supervises the volunteers has been fighting off a bug and a couple of us stayed on longer than usual to help him clean up stuff. I'm sure I'll be stiff tomorrow. Not as many folks showed up as last year and some of the beds were pruned by city employees which means we'll have to go over those beds again since they did a fairly perfunctory job.
Watching Mad Men (Netflix rental video of first season). Great viewing when you're too tired to think. Take care all and have a nice Sunday.
Short break from clearing up leaves in the garden. It seems the sparrowhawk's visits are not always unsuccessful as I've found a clump of feathers. Some are red - really not happy. I know Robin's still around as he's been watching me and I can hear him singing as I type but I won't relax until I've seen our male Bullfinch. I think the red feather was too big for it to have been a goldfinch. Of course I may be wrongly accusing the sparrowhawk and it may be a cat. Anyway feeders filled, bird bath scrubbed and re-filled etc.
Mia's been following me round like a shadow as they're shooting again.
Next job is to plant up a couple of pots for by the front door then vacuum the car out. Shame it's not sunny today.
MARGO thinking of you.
Morning all
Haven't posted for a while, I'm in the middle of my "can't keep up with everything" phase.
Just reading back a bit though and wanted to say how sorry I am, MARGO about your sister. Things sounded more positive, albeit, still very serious, last time I checked. My thoughts are with your sister, her family, you and everyone else now and going forward. I'm sure there are no easy options. Take care
Hope everyone else is doing well. I'm in the process of trying to read back.
All fine here, just it keeps on snowing and v cold. Seems a full time job just to get things clear at the moment.
