Morning all: Long day at the rose garden - poor Robert who supervises the volunteers has been fighting off a bug and a couple of us stayed on longer than usual to help him clean up stuff. I'm sure I'll be stiff tomorrow. Not as many folks showed up as last year and some of the beds were pruned by city employees which means we'll have to go over those beds again since they did a fairly perfunctory job.
Watching Mad Men (Netflix rental video of first season). Great viewing when you're too tired to think. Take care all and have a nice Sunday.
DjoanS Lovely card for Lynette brings back happy memories of last year.

Thanks Alicat. Pic of blackbird taken in garden today:
Lynette great captures of the eagles.
Alan a really handsome blackbird.
I'm afraid I went to Lily and Hope first too today and wondered why I couldn't get on the cam but see everyone's in the same boat.
I do hope we don't miss any major events with labour ongoing - maybe Lily's sabotaged the camera for privacy!
trish 2 as you say perhaps Lily doesn't want the whole world watching her.
Good views on Hornby Eagle cam, both female and male on the nest and it looks and sounds very windy.
Sorry just posted duff info, thought I was watching live eagle cam from Hornby Island but have just realised it is a video from last year.

Hi everyone.Very heavy frost here this morning and the birds are certainly thankful for the food. Slight thaw this afternoon but certainly not for the lightly dressed, or even the light dresses. I'm here all week. Thanks for all the chat, pics etc. Seeing two chicks in Phoebe's nest certainly brings a big smile. Pity Lilly's cam is down (thanks for the head-up to all concerned here) but hopefully it'll be back up soon.Anyway enough of the above ramblings.Lynette: Happy Birthday! I hope your having a wonderful day.Happy Friday Everyone. May your tears turn to laughter and your frowns turn to grins. Here's a picture of some peanut feeder inspectors from Speyside.
