Morning all: Long day at the rose garden - poor Robert who supervises the volunteers has been fighting off a bug and a couple of us stayed on longer than usual to help him clean up stuff. I'm sure I'll be stiff tomorrow. Not as many folks showed up as last year and some of the beds were pruned by city employees which means we'll have to go over those beds again since they did a fairly perfunctory job.
Watching Mad Men (Netflix rental video of first season). Great viewing when you're too tired to think. Take care all and have a nice Sunday.
Feeding time for Bea:
Alan, Thanks for checking GE for me. Relieved it is just not my computer.
Hi everyone. The full moon is looking stunning tonight here because of the clear night sky. ALICAT: Thanks for the Hummingbird hatch video.OG: Great to here the task of cleaning the study has been completed. Sounds like a very hefty job. You deserve a couple of slices of chocolate cake.dibnlib: The RSPB mag didn't turn up today, so I expect it'll arrive tommorow. Can't wait to see the Firecrest on the front page.Joan: All those Firecrests flitting around the bushes in County Cork, must've been an amazing site.Wendyb: So glad you spotted a Red Kite enjoying the Highland sunshine.particiat: I'm fairly certain margobird is volunteering at LG in June.Diane: Happy Full Moon!Alan: Thanks for the pic of Phoebe feeding Bea. A wonderful image. :-)
Here's a pic of the full moon, I took earlier this evening.
Paul.

Hi Heron i didn't do video i just posted a link to it that i came across on youtube

Ready to say good night, but thought I would look in once more while Eagle-Eye is trying to catch up!
Alicat – I assumed that we cook on top of stove while oven is heating, until the recipe says “cover and cook”, at which stage it finishes in the oven, but I’m sure Dibnlib will sort it for us tomorrow. That Hummingbird series of photos is outstanding.
Alan – lovely picture of Bea’s lunch!
Paul – I did share the choc cake with OH! Good definition on features on your moon – much better than mine in semi-daylight. I nearly wrote “Geographical features”, then thought Geo is earth, so must be Lunagraphical if Latin or Phoebographical if Greek! Anyone know for sure?
And now it’s really time for “Good night!”
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Hi folks, better late than never. Will catch up on the news in a minute. The newest arrival. Phoebe has gone to feed

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Just caught up with all the news. Too many to reply to all but thanks Alan and I think Kellogs for pics of Phoebe's offspring and at feeding time too. I just managed to capture the little one home alone whilst Phoebe went to feed.
Had my hair done today as a present from the "kids".
Hoping to get to the gym tomorrow as couldn't go Tues. Our builder friend says it is only the cable and will try and get one for us and will come and fit it when he can get one.
The moon pictures are quite etherial, noticed it was full moon tonight and Diane - a Wolf Full Moon heh!!!!!
Did anyone catch the news tonight about the re-introduction of the Great Bustard and how the scheme is going quite well. Very interesting.
Also had my RSPB mag this week but have still to read the winter one first.
Just captured these shots of Phoebe feeding little one.
Phoebe tonight our time - 23.50pm
