It's got to be close to a 2 metre focal length, Chloe! All told his gear must have cost c.£20,000. Great pics though.
There's definitely at least one intruder about as I've just seen 3 ospreys around the nest!

Looking again at Gary Ridsdale's pics and the detail is so good that you can clearly see that the lower sticks in the nest have been secured with cable ties - how clever are these ospreys! ;-))
