Just catching up on more of John's fantastic photos. By the way, I am recording the UK colour ring IDs that he mentions, in the spreadsheet.
In the latest batch, John has also posted photos of a French osprey from the Forest of Orleans, known as "The Male" after the symbol on his orange ring. On receiving the Rutland team's report, Rolf Wahl, who rings and monitors the ospreys on the Loire, has written up the life story of this bird (as known to humans) on his own site.
