Busy all day - will catch up tomorrow. Have a good Sunday all (don't forget to check last pages of previous thread. Somebody has been posting photos of puppies again!)

  • SHEILA  Didn't go to The Falklands with OH as it was unaccommpanied so I was stuck in the UK Sept through to Feb whilst he enjoyed a spring/summer in the South Atlantic. Great photos of baby peguins and seals. when OH retired from RAF at age 38 we went to Shetland for 2 years, niether of us had been before but OH felt we would like it as it is apparently very similar to The Falklands.

  • MARGO Sounds!! like a nice pressie for Rhys even though it might drive Mum and Dad nuts. Glad your sister is managing to do a little, I know each small step feels like you have climbed a mountain and is really good emotionally.  Not putting myself in the same category as your poor sis but I am sure like me, she is pleased with each step forward. Lets hope it continues for her. So good that she has such wonderful support from her family

  • dibnlib my sister is really pleased with herself.  After "being out of it" for the past 3 months she just pleased that she is able to think and also to know what is going on around her.  Still lots she can't do and OH and her family have been just wonderful.  Gives me much comfort  to know they are looking out for her so well after all the stress they have been through.

  • Good view of Lily and Hope at the moment.  Vocalisation between them as well.

  • Hello Margo, I'm watching Lily and Hope too, they are moving around quite a bit.

  • Hi everyone.

A very mild day today, although the ground is quite mushy with the recent rain adding to the water from the recently melted snow.  The upside to this is that the Starlings can probe the ground for grubs.

AQ:  I Like the method of finding inner peace.

Annette:  No need to apologise for a long post.  I've been guilty of a few redrafts of War & Peace on here.  Your tale of extra holes, and leftover screws and nails sounds very familiar.  In cases like that I always wonder if someone else is wondering why half the screws and nails are missing.

Linda:  Sorry to hear you've got a sore throat.  Hope it gets better soon.

    dibnlib:  Love the dog photo.

Alan:  11.4c and 11.5c are certainly very mild temps for the time of year.  Glad the robin had a nice bath.  Hope some Goldfinches pay you a visit soon.

SheilaFE:  Sorry to hear about you friend dying of cancer.  Glad you saw a Long-Talied Tit this morning.

Margobird:  Hope you enjoy your time on the Tuscan coast.  I'm glad to hear you sister is able to do some things.  Hope you enjoy Rhys' birthday party tomorrow.

    Happy Friday everyone!

    Paul.

Warning!  This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar.  Approach with extreme edginess.

  • Hi folks.

AQ - love it, sure you feel better now, must eat my Christmas chocs from OH tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alan - pic of eagle feeding, its lovely, and of course the one of the robin, have copied it to favourites hope that is alright, I tend to use the pics of birds taken by our bloggers as background on the computer.  They really do look great.

Margobird - enjoy your day tomorrow and Rhys b,party. Trust your sister continues to make progress.

Had a surprise last night, daughter informed me that she has teemed up with my son to give me a joint birthday present - to have my hair permed etc next week just a couple of days before my actual birthday.  Its great because going the the hairdressers these days can become quite expensive, particularly a perm.  Couldn't be a better present and they've got a discount because its on one of the OAP's days.

Pics of eagle at Maryland with a kill, and of course Phoebe

  • and one of Lily and Hope although its not too clear
