Busy all day - will catch up tomorrow. Have a good Sunday all (don't forget to check last pages of previous thread. Somebody has been posting photos of puppies again!)

  • OG -  thanks for that about Lily and Hope ... excellent footage of them on the webcam ... I keep forgetting to look during the evening!

Joan - avid bird and nature watcher in Northumberland!

  • dibnlib Good to hear you've been signed off by the hospital - but are you due to have any physio? Would you like me to write on your page about the programme I had, and what I did for myself? I went through a phase using trekking poles after abandoning the crutch.

  • Good evening all.  Just watched second episode of Just William – had first two on I-player – can watch other two in comfort –recorded on the HDD.

Annette – I hope you had a better day with the landscapers – and no miscommunication due to language mix.

Alicat – hope your OH will pass module 2 next time!  The way you wrote it sounds like you have waited a while for this.

Terry – thanks for pointing to Alice’s blog – must go read when I finish this.

Patricia – drain trouble – uuurgh!  Pleased it was soon sorted.  I hope you had all your paperwork ready and a good meeting tonight.

Wendy – hope Daisy passed the kennel test today - - - oh yes, I see she did!  So happy holidays for your daughter!

Dibnlib – is that a new Avatar?  Is it Dillon wearing the curtains, or one of his predecessors?

Joan – I find early evening (Minnesota early afternoon, I think) is best time to see movement in and around the den. They say both Lily and hope were outside yesterday, so obviously no new cub yet.  I seem to have 19th Jan in my head for Hope’s birth last year, but haven’t looked it up.

Time for a little something – “see” you tomorrow.

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • I did catch Lily and Hope earlier ... lovely moments between mum and child.  Could be interesting when/if new cub(s) arrive.  Typically female black bears have cubs every two years.

Nova Scotia is in for another N'or Easter Wednesday into Thursday ... we're under a heavy snowfall warning, bringing 20-30 cm. accompanied by high winds.  Was out earlier to get some supplies and provisions.  Glad I don't have to be anywhere :)

    Cheers!

  • Hi folks, dentist went well although he had a bit of a job getting it out as it was crowned and previously filled etc.  All done now and just a bit sore where the injections went in.

Annette -  I noticed that you like your glass of wine, same here but can't have any today re dentists visit, never mind I'll have one ----   or two tomorrow night to make up.

Thanks for all your news and do hope MARGOBIRD that your BiL does get some sort of explanation - its the least they can do.

Alan - thanks for the pic of the eagles, I try to get the cam up but nothing happens but will keep trying.

Kellogs - lovely pics of Lily and Hope - looking at the cam now and the pics are a bit out of focus. Maybe because its the evening, don't know, but will try to look in during the day tomorrow.     Do hope that if it hits you will not be snowed in, at least you've got your provisions.  Stay warm and dry!!!

  • Alan - thanks for link re Simon King's new website, have put it in my favourites and had a look at it , it looks interesting.

Re builders -   water heating problem now solved, he had accidentally turned it to minimum instead of higher, now seems to working alright so had a lovely shower tonight.

AQ - you do seem to having extremes of weather on your continent, forest fires in the West and flooding in the East and people losing their lives. Its sad and do hope you are well away from these extremes but obviously it isn't well for those caught up in the weather problems!  Take care.

  • cam on Lily's den , picture still not very clear.  Took this of the deer at the Pensylvania site and also of Phoebe.

  • Hi - I posted a few minutes ago but it has not appeared on here!

  • Lindy - apparently RSPB server went down overnight - maybe somebody switched a switch they shouldn't have!

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • Hi OG  as you said yesterday that it sounds like we had been waiting awhile for it he started the bike training about late October or November he came off and fractured his finger on the module 1 test he failed that due to him coming off the bike  then had to wait  while it heeled then every time he was booked in to have it, it was then cancelled due to snow and ice then on monday it finally went ahead and he passed module 1 had a go at module 2 but failed that on a couple of minor faults so will have to take it again in 10 days can't retake till then
